i WAS RECENTLY TOLD THAT MY DAD I HAVE NEVER MEET OR SEEN LIVES IN WICKLIFFE. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW TO GET AHLOD OF HIM BUT HAVE NO PHONE NUMBER ON HIM IS A LOGGER OWNS HIS OWN TRUCKING COMPANY DON'T WANT ANYTHING FROM HIM JUST NEED A MEDICAL HISTORY ON HIS SIDE I HAVE DEVELOPED SOME VERY SERIOUS HEALTH PROBLEMS AND NEED HEALTH INFO HIS FIRST NAME STARTS WITH A C. AND LAST NAME S. WIFES NAME IS LINDA IF ANY INFO OR IF YOU KNOW HIM PLEASE REPLY AND I CAN GIVE MORE INFO THANKS

seems to me your mother should provide you with that information, and that the internet isn't the best outlet to obtain such sensitive information. remember, you have but one chance to make a first impression. realizing that there are numerous people that are able to obtain excellent medical care without knowledge of one or both biological parents medical history, it does stand to reason as 'knows it all' questioned, that your condition may need to be known. i hope you are able to find a proper outlet to fulfill whatever it is that you don't want from him.

How could the mother know everything about the fathers medical past or that of the paternal grandparents medical problems. There is no telling what has developed since the mother knew the father. What right do you have to say that she can't use topix to find out what she needs to know? Who are you? Personally I would rather see it be used this way, for something beneficial, then to be used to slander people which happens way too much.

Obviously the one who calls herself "a mother with common sense" is the mother of "1 girl". I am a mother and I DO know about my husband's (my chilren's father) medical history and problems as well as his family medical history and problems. That's part of being a FAMILY. No one said she can't use this site to obtain information. So what right do you have to ask others who they are when you don't even state who you are? How is it that you know his wife's name and not his full name? It seems to me that the only reason you are commenting on this site is to slander them.

First to 'amotherwithcommonsense', the information I was referring to was the contact information on this assumed father, not his complete up to date medical history. It stands to reason that if '1 GIRL' was able to obtain other uniquely identifiable data without the internet, that she could also obtain contact information without it. The most logical place would be from the mother, or the person that “recently told ….”

I stand firm on my statement that the internet is not the best outlet to obtain sensitive information. Due to the fact that access is freely granted, it makes good common sense that one should not post uniquely identifiable information of others therein respecting their privacy. The natural right to privacy we each hold can be compromised when others post personally sensitive information for all to see.

Understanding you may have legitimate reasons for wanting to make contact, it is important to realize that much time has passed. Nothing can change the past, and the way you enter the present will have a tremendous effect on any future. Assuming your intentions are pure, it is reasonable to believe that you would want to find the best way to go about finding this information, not by trampling on others on the internet.

I don't see how her trying to get info on topix is trampling on others on the internet. who knows she might be able to get her fathers contact info. Thank god we live in a free country where people like you don't get to tell the rest of us how to use this site. who do you think you are. shes not bashing her bio dad. shes just trying to find out if certain things run in her family. and she needs to contact him to do it. I would NEVER dare to tell you that you couldn't use topix for anything unless I was informing you that something you were saying was harrassment or some such thing. Let me clear up a few things. First off I wish nothing but good to them "FATHER" in question I am almost 30 years old and up untill a few months ago was never told his name and futhermore I was adopted by my choice when I was 10 had no more contact with my mother by my choice again never really thought about having a dad never did and that is ok yes I would have loved to have one when I was growing up but we dont all get what we want. I turned out very good I think Married for 9 years 2 wonderful boys and very happy just would like to know who I came from and a medical history. The reason I did it on here did not know if his wife new of me or if he even did sorry if some of you dont agree with me posting this on here but I felt for me this was the best for me and the "FATHER" I really was not trying to cause any problems.

I have to agree that this is not a proper place to be searching for such information. For example, this may have been cleared up long ago if it had not been for people posting things like "I hope you are not being a smart-a**" or the so called "mother with common sense", who in my opinion is ignorant, and has no sense much less any common sense. When I posted my name as "knows it all" I mean I have all the information you could possibly want on your assumed "father." However, I refuse to post any contact information, personal statistics, medical history, etc. on a site such as topix. That would just be stupid. I hope you understand that the persons you are trying to contact are indeed people, not just some names that have no background or meaning to them. They have families and go through the same emotions as you. How would you feel if someone posted something similar about you or your brother, husband, uncle, or whatever? That's the problem with these types of sites, people don't think or don't care about the people on the other side of the computer, they are just names, no faces. I don't think you would go to the town and just start randomly asking people "Do you know this person, he is suppose to be my father......." Seriously people, think at least a little.

I would like to think you have made more of your life than you would have if you stayed in touch with your mother. In my personal opinion, any woman who sleeps with a married man is worthless. And, if she comes up with some excuse like, "i didn't know he was married" is so ridiculous because that just means she didn't take the time to get to know him well enough before she slept with him. What I think of a married man who sleeps around is just the same, so don't get me wrong. People should know they have to take responsibility for their actions, even if the effects come 9 months or in your case 30 years later.

So, if you are still simply wanting some basic information, you should post your contact email or name and phone. Then, maybe you could get some answers from me.

There is no "if" to me being his daughter. The "if" comes in as pertaining to you, Ginny. I know who my father is. However, you did not post your email anywhere that I have seen, which again raises the question "what exactly do you want?"
