I never see the constable on the west side except in Carthage but the constable on the east side patrols the county and gets out and meets the folks and does his job!

I live on the Westside and I see our Constable everywhere. I feel that both constables do there job and we should support all law enforcement whenever possible. take up for law officers and be against the bad guys. That is what is wrong with the world today. Our Constables are elected to protect and serve not be welcome wagons. Its not a popularity contest.

Now I see where all the drama and mean comments are generated from...seems someone has a vendetta against people. Let these law officers do their jobs. Your right...it's not a popularity contest. If they're out there doing their jobs right then people are going to talk trash about them but that's where we've got to come together as a community and support them and protect them. I see too many people bad-mouthing the law when they should be thankful for them!

Constables are just wanna be cops...they're not trained like regular cops. They go to some school for a couple weeks then give em a badge and gun...they need real cops as constables not cowboys!

Oh believe me I know they can arrest you because they're elected by law but they do not get the training that regular cops do. They don't have to go to a police academy. Just like their judges don't have to be lawyers...that's a crock too!
