Big deal. People are murdering each other all over town and this makes the news ? Yes, she's not bright, but she would get less punishment for driving drunk.

My dad left me and my brother in the car all the time. This was before everybody FREAKED OUT over stupid stuff.

She will get her child back. Get a slap on the wrist. Think nothing of doing it again. What is wrong with people today? All those children could have disappeared. I wouldn't leave a child in a car while I ran into the store, leaving the car running - not with all the carjackings and kidnappings. Yes, it would have been a big inconvenience to have to take all these children inside, but maybe some thought should have been given to the trip to the store in the first place. She should have waited until someone could help watch them - like maybe the boyfriend or the parents of the other children...

Who on Gods green earth with entrust their child to this woman. I bet not one kid was seat belted correctly, or in a child seat. All of the parents need to be in jail and facing charges of stupidity.

Most people wouldn't leave their dogs in the car with temps this high. Too bad common sense isn't required when caring for children.

It would be nice to get the full story here. If the air was on, then it's not so bad. This woman had 9 kids with her. Almost impossible to take in the store. The kids seem fine. What's the harm? She was buying food for them.

just because your father lefted you and your brother along shows he's not so bright either.Nine children are alot of children, and for her to leave a little 5 month old is serious. She nelgected them and she should be charged.

Usually I'm ready to slam these people, but this doesn't sound all that bad. There's a nine-year-old in the car; that's pretty much baby-sitting age. It's at night, so nobody's cooking. They all ought to be home in bed, but that's probably too much to ask from some of these people.

As long as the car wasn't running and the lady took the keys, this doesn't sound like that big a deal. Not a good idea, sure, but not the same as leaving a baby in a hot car alone on a hot day.

I must be going soft.

this woman, her boyfriend, and the parents of the other kids should go to jail, in this horrible heat wave she risked their lives. she left a 5 month old baby in care of the other kids--the oldest was 9? She should be sterilized while in jail. Anything could have happened to those kids. She is a moron and should not be allowed to reproduce.

Can you blame her? 9 kids in a store? I would have sent all of them in and stay in the car with no ac and the windows up. Have you ever taken 9 kids in a store?

Yes, but I don't think your father was stupid enough to leave a 5 month old in a car full of children while it was 86 degrees out (making it MUCH hotter in the car).

And clearly you suffered some sort of brain damage if you think young children are safe when they are unattended in a vehicle in 86 degree heat. Save your moronic comments for your family reunions.

Yeah, it would be OK if the air conditioning was on. Because that would mean the engine would be running. With the oldest one being 9. I think you should go to the front of the sterilization line. Kthksbye

if the air was on, the van would've had to be running! that wouldn't be SO bad??
so leaving 9 kids in a running van, waiting for some pediphile or murderer to take them would be better?
are you crazy? as i see it, really the problem isn't the heat, as it's leaving 9 kids in an unattended vehicle.
i hope you don't have kids!

Daily Horoscope for November 30

Aquarius

You may feel mildly agitated as the sensitive Moon clashes with your life-ruler. Personal difficulties with family members or necessary home repairs may disrupt your day. Deal directly with problems no matter how much you would rather procrastinate. What you avoid today is likely to escalate into a much bigger problem for you to solve tomorrow.
