I haven't visited DQ in a good good while because of their service and cleanliness, just got tired of it. There are always lots of cars there, has it gotten better or is it just the coffee drinkers business?

About once a year I'll go in and give the DQ another chance. It's been awhile for me too, I don't know if it's worth the effort. If I was part of the coffee drinkers club, I'd probably be there.

i have given the dq another chance time after time and have finally come to the conclusion that i will never eat at the dq in cooper again. there are times when the dq is the only place open, but i will drive to commerce, paris, sulphur springs, or i will just not eat.

I have found hair in my food before and the flies are just YUCK! They used to walk around while you ate and killed them. The service is not so wonderful either to put it nicely. I have in the past waited 45 minutes to an hour for my food, with NO appologies. On very rare occasion do I attend this establishment.

How many generations has the DQ been around? I remember going to DQ as a kid. We walked, rode our bicycles, sat in the booths and enjoyed life. It's sad that our DQ has this reputation. The times I've gone in there, I have seen "older" kids still sitting around sharing and swaping tales. If asked, they probably will tell you, they were sitting there eons ago, doing the same thing. It should be a place of memories. I'm sad that the owners don't care. It comes from having a business for so many years. It gets old going to the same place, serving the same stuff and cleaning the same greasy surfaces. It's hard to keep the excitement flowing year after year. I don't know, how does it get fixed? If you don't expect employees to do it right, they won't. Most of these are young kids. We need to set the standards and expect the right results. As adults, we need to instill in the youngsters strong values and hard work ethics. I'll bet many of you started working in a place like DQ. Some of you have worked all your life, maybe are even retired. You enjoy sitting around, drinking coffee and living life. What did you learn as a kid, with his first job? What was expected out of you? How did you get where you are today? I'm sad for the old DQ. I hope it improves its lot in life. It's worth saving.

I remember when the DQ was a pretty good place to eat back a few years ago. I haven't been in there in a long time! It wasn't ever really that clean but you didn't have to worry about that nasty of food. When the people from Paris (I think?) took it over is when it started getting gross. I remember someone I went to high school with that worked there told me there was dead roaches in the slushy machine. Totally made me NOT want to eat there anymore! Also our Subway is lacking!

I say bring on a Sonic. It would make money and give the high school kids somewhere to work in town instead of driving somewhere else.

The last time I checked, a Sonic franchise was about $300,000.00 then you have to build a half million dollar facility.

Jimmie Lou Cattanach worked at the old DQ.

The employees don't care, they are too busy playing around, wanting to socialize. At one time, the same ones that owned that one owned the one here in Paris, that one is much better and faster and they actually get the orders right. I made complimented the employees there and telling them about Cooper and they laughed so hard.
