Just the week before she died, she had begged the doctors to help her and Cliff get well, to provide surgery to rid each of them of the pain that injuries had left in their wake. She would say that if she were gone, maybe Cliff would be better off and that she was holding him back. I guess her burden and pain were too much and she let go.

You know the saying, "You should never judge a book by its cover."? Well, Bonnie has just given everyone on here a very good reason why that saying is true. Until you have read the book you've got clue how the story goes. This man has obviously lived a hard life, maybe of his choosing and maybe not, but it's NOT your place to judge him unless you know him personally.
