Hmmm sounds like someone didn't invesigate this properly. You would have thought the Supt. would have done better than this. Guess he'll get to pay and maybe will think twice next time. What a horrible thing to have to go through as a teacher, and even that was found not guilty the original chare will show up on her crime background check, hopefully her lawyer will get this case sealed. I would think the liar boy should be paying some money too.

Finally justice has been served! Teachers are vunerable to accusations with no proof needed to charge. This needs to change. It is hard to keep good teachers if they have to be afraid of false accusations. We need more good teachers like Ms Barrus.

Ahh earth to somebody, she was charged that's why there was a trial. I think you meant, she wasn't convicted. I hope she sues the shit out of the school district, the city and the superintendant, obviously this wasn't properly investigated. And, why werent my teachers this good looking, wtf!

Time and time again we jump to conclusions on accused teachers. Teachers have one toughes jobs everyday. They deserve full support of the administration and their fellow teachers. It is clear that the administration and her fellow teachers let her down. It is not question of how the teacher "looks", but it is a question of justice and what is right. I have watched this happen time and time again in teaching. I sorry for this fellow teacher and all the work that she had done to prepare to teach young people. Her file should be "cleared". Hopefully, some school will hire this teacher and let her continue her career. Good luck to you.

I dont like the word teacher cleared. She did anything to be cleared of. You can catch a thief but its harder to catch a liar. I home this low life gets his just punishment and the court seals this case.

My wife is a jr-sr high school teacher. The HELL that teachers go though is over the top. Then to have something like this added on top of it is just outrageous!!!! I hope that she wins enough in her suits that she is set up FOR LIFE. She deserves it. More pay for teachers Chester? Good example here as to why they deserve it. Bet Terry will do better!!!!

justme, republicans have generally been opposed to increased education spending including the mustache (Terry Branstad). If you want teachers to have more rights and benefits (unions, pay equity, helpful resources), you should support Chet and not the mustache.

Earth to Josyph now, republicans have not been against increased pay for teachers that is a myth. You are entitled to your own opinions like everyone is but you are cannot just make up your own facts. And honestly have you really been that happy with Gov. Culver? How is that even possible.
