Peterson School:Goes from being the Best to Being the Worst!

doesn't sound like much has changed, they've been keeping the "Black List" on parents for more than 25 years

I'm removing my son today. This is the second year my 2nd grader has been harrassed by another student. I complained all last year and ms. Hawkins assured me that keeping the kids in the same class was the best thing to do so they could work there differences out. I did that and my son came home with cuts and bruises from being pushed down. The teacher ms. Campbell also agreed these kids should not b together. Needless to say 2010 was a crappy school year for my son. I did a written request for my son to NOT b in the same class as the bully and to my shock they were put together AGAIN. School has only been in session a couple weeks now and my son has been attacked again. I demanded he b put in a separate class and ms. Hawkins said no due to class size. I then called Mr. Thede and he agreed with her. So basically my sons safety means nothing!! I'm sorry classes r full and not enuf teachers but iv asked for help and we have received nothing for the second year Ms. Hawkins pointed out that my son has hit back and is no better than the bully. I say bullshit, my son is fighting back! There is a difference. Bottom line is ms.hawkins and Mr.thede have done NOTHING so I'm putting my son in a different school.

I just found out that us parents can take our complaintsto the school board. I encourage everyone to do this, I'm putting in my calls today. I would also like to add I also have a 6th grader at peterson who has been a student there since kindergarden. And I have not had any problems with peterson until 2010 when ms.hawkins arrived. So for u people who think we are picking on ms. Hawkins IM NOT I have legit complaints against her and have been a long time peterson parent to see the difference that has been brought to the school by a terrible principal. I bet you people who think ms. Hawkins is so perfect don't even have kids who attend her school.
