This accident is horrific and I pray for both the victims family and for the drivers. I think now is an excellent time to stress the importance of our crosswalks here on the outerbanks. Accidents like this happen year after year. Crosswalks are there for a reason, using a well lit crosswalk can save both your life and the lives of others.

I pray for the families involved, but I say it is time to put this to rest, from both ends, people who think that pediatrians crossing the bypass is ludicrous, those who think the driver did what he did on purpose, or anything else. Let it rest, people. It is what it is, and coming here on a public forum to bad mouth each other is just childish.

Not a day goes by where i dont go to bed with it and or wake up with it. My daughter Kalista, who just celebrated her fourth birthday is fortuneately doing well. We thank all of you who kept us in their prayers. Houtzdale PA is a very small town. What is amazing however is the compasssion they all possess. Believe it or not my heart goes out to the couple who was involved in this accident.Im sure they struggle too

It is now seven years later and I still think about you every day, Cheryl and Kara. I love you and miss you so much. Cheryl, you would be sooo proud of Clint, Amy, Robbie, Melena, and Kalista. And Kara, you would be sooo proud too. I always think of you, Kara, when I see a dragonfly. And I believe that, Cheryl, you and my Dad send butterflies. I am so Blessed to have known you all and I hope you're watching from above and missing us as much as we're missing you. <3
