Review: Teresa's Bridal Boutique

I recently visited Teresa's Bridal Boutique and found it to be one of the most amazing experiences of my life. There are a TON of wedding dresses and most were right in my budget (around 500-700) but there were several for a lot less. Teresa not only helped me find the perfect gown but also a matching veil and I don't think my experience would have been the same with her. She is really into fashion and we clicked. She was attentive, rational, professional, and overall a great person. Everytime I call with any little detail Teresa goes to the folder and always has time to talk over the order(s). I love my gown, it's perfect in everyway and I can't wait to try it on again.

My experience with the Bridal and Formal Shoppe was a disaster. I went in, they told me to head upstairs to look at wedding dresses...that were in bags. I stood up there alone, not knowing what to do with NO HELP.

A friend of mine rented a tux for her son's prom. The guy went in for measurements and when he went back to try it on right before the prom, the suit did not fit right. They did not offer to make it right or try to get something that did fit. It was the shop's employee who measured him. Later, my friend and her husband let Teresa or whoever know that they were not happy and no discount or any kind of amends were made. A few weeks later, my friend gets a call saying the pants or something had not been returned. My friend's husband told them that they should remember them bringing the suit back because they were extremely unhappy with the way it fit, how they were treated, etc. Needless to say, they won't ever use this shop again and have told many people about their bad experience there. Personally, I don't see how it is going to stay in business anyway. It's not like there are enough weddings/proms in the area to make that a full-time business but then add bad customer service to it, and it's not likely to last too many years.

Want to visit a top of the line Boutique? You need to visit Teresa's Bridal Boutique in Kirksville, MO. I have referred many brides to her shop and they have been 100% satisfied. Teresa and her staff have a kene eye for quality fabrics and they know your body type to tell you what looks best on you. Ever seen "Say Yes to the Dress?" This Boutique is very similar in staff and proper knowledge of this business.
My advice to any bride to be, mom of the future bride, or prom couple; listen to Teresa and her staff, try on, get measured, speak your wants and desires completely, and be a good customer. Follow the policies and know that they will work with you 100%. I have planned events for 13 years now. I have not yet seen the level of customer service that can compare to Teresa's Bridal Boutique.

I am sorry, but I have to disagree to the negative comments. I think she has a level of professionalism that we don't find often. Teresa's Bridal Boutique is a one of a kind top notch Boutique and we are very lucky to have her in rural Missouri!

So are you saying the positive should outweigh the negative? You calling some of us liars? Let the buyer beware. I would not buy anything from this retailer.

I heard there were comments on here. Might I say that I am a very satisfied customer and don't believe any of the poor feedback about her shop or her husband. Shame on some of you. As a professional and a client, I think these posts are rediculous.

We appreciate the positive comments. But as far as the negative comments, we feel like this is harrassment and we have contacted Topix LLC as well as our attorney to pursue legal action.
We value our customers and their input whom will not withstand this type of abuse and accusations.

I know you might think you went into the store and layed him out, but I know for fact that you did not. So if you are going to tell a story at least tell the truth. I know that man and you are flat out lieing. That store is great and they are trying to bring something different to this town, and something wonderful. I love that shop!

Agreed. Many facts posted to back this. And then she gets on and threatens us. This place is pathetic.

I heard of all this nonsense from a friend and find it to be ridiculous. I have been to the shop and and bought some items for my daughter and found them to be very helpful and kind. They wanted my daughter to feel beautiful at her last prom. And she did. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I even had a nice couch to sit on. When it is time for my youngest girls prom, it will be the first place I go. I hope no one listens to these clowns. You can't please everyone!

Please, do some of you not have anything better to do? Teresa's is a very nice upscale business to add to the Kirksville and surrounding areas. Obviously the complainers have no conscious or desire to be honest. SHAME ON YOU! You will get your just rewards, and Teresa's will continue to thrive and have a successful business because they do the very best for thier customers. THere will always be those who try to tarnish anyone's reputation , for that is the only way they can feel better about themselves. Again, Shame on you!

I am currently buying a wedding dress from teresa's bridal boutique and let me tell you they are the most elegant dresses i have ever seen!!!

My future daughter in law bought her dress from Teresas and let me say they showed her the utmost respect. As well as they knew what she had in mind for a dress and did not try to push off an expensive dress that she did not want.
She recieved better service in Kirksville than she did here in KC at any of the bridal shops
So a person did not get his prom tux properly adjusted, why did he wait until the day before prom to go in to see if it fit? Sorry but I doubt very seriously if this ladies husband assulted anyone, if so with the sue happy people in the world he would be in court and someone suing him. so very doubtful that it happen.,

I was under the employ of Truman State University for over twenty years until I retired. During that time, I attended many events and had a very nice tuxedo. However, after my retirement I began to lead a more secluded lifestyle. In the fall of 2008 my youngest daughter became engaged and where to be wed in the spring of 2009. Upon hearing the wonderful news I rushed to the closet to try on my old tux. I must admit in the passing years since it had last been worn, it had somehow shrunk. After explaining the situation to my daughter and promising to have it altered, she suggested I buy or atleast rent a newer more modern tuxedo. I must say walking into Teresa's Bridal Boutique I felt abit out of my element, however, the staff made me feel very welcome. Each girl was more beautiful than the last and all were very charming which is a rarety in today's society. I feel I must compliment Teresa's young homosexual son aswell. The young man who I will leave nameless but I'm sure knows who he is, was the definition of professional. He was very knowledgeable about the current fashions and very thorough not only in taking the measurements, but also showing me the many styles the boutique had to offer. My family was so impressed by the customer service they gave this slightly older man, my daughter cancelled all of her out of town appointments to look for dresses. I must say she found the most beautiful dress I had seen since my wife and I were married some 47 years ago. I must say one last time how pleasantly suprised I was at not only the customer service my family and I recieved, but also how detail oriented the entire staff was. I was not expecting this level of class outside of the much larger metro areas. So in summary, I would just like to again say thank you to everyone who helped make my daughters wedding the success it was, I do not believe it would have been as special or perfect without you. I just wish my wife and I would have had you as a resource on our day aswell.

My sister recently found her wedding dress there, over $1300 and was more than happy with the service and professionalism with the boutique. She has lived everywhere and knows professionalism in a business. It's too bad that Kirksville people are just too ignorant to appreciate a classy boutique. Get with the rest of the world trashy people who have never even visited a real boutique until now. We love you Teresa's!!!!

I haven't had a need for the services at Teresa's Bridal Boutique, but my niece did. She is a teenager, and very cognizant of her appearance. Teresa's listened to what she wanted, made some suggestions, offered several options, and made her the happiest girl at the prom. She was gorgeous! My niece is a gorgeous girl to begin with, but the dress and the accessories she got from there made her feel very special. Congratulations Teresa's Bridal Boutique! You have a great shop and caring, talented people working there! Don't change!

My wife and daugther went in your store the other day. We had heard youre adds on the radio and thought my daughter needed a dress. I wanted my wife to get me some new blue jeans too. The dress my daughter got was very pretty but my wife said she didnt see no jeans in youre store and was embarrassed to ask cause they might cost to much. Seeing as you are a new place here im sure you aint had time to stalk everything yet. But I hope you will know that with the walmart here you better be stalking up on those items or you will lose a lot of money to other stores.
