Should we be surprised that most of the lead shows up in the ground meat. At least in my own practice and experience, the meat trimmed from around the bloodshot (and some of the bloodshot meat itself) usually gets tossed into the "grind bucket".
Folks have been ingesting lead fragments and pellets from our meat for as long as we've been hunting with lead bullets. If there were a connection with lead poisoning and wild game meat, you can bet we'd have seen it by now. This is far too much ado about nothing... don't we have better things to be worrying about? |

You realize that Go DFL is just trying to entice you into arguing, and is most likely a republican voting NRA member. Its just too easy to spot a fake post these days. Go DFL try harder next time.

This is all nothing more than a back door attack by the anti hunting organizations. hunter who help the needy by donating venison are exactly the opposite of what they would like people to believe. they want to portay hunters as drunken, murdurous, uncaring hillbiiies, who just want to kill a deer for fun, but the fact that just the opposite is true and is proven through venison donations to feed the needy is just a thorn in their side, so they attack it the only way they can by trying to overinflate and exploit something that is really nothing at all.

I take that meat from around the bullet wound and toss it. I never mix it in with edible meat! Vote Conservative http://www.wilgeno.com |

All this hype over the lead in a harvested deer is nothing more than the work of the anti's doing what they do, trying to end all forms of hunting. I'm 62, I've been eating wild game all my life and I'm perfectly healthy!

That is about the rudest thing that anyone has ever said to me. I guess that shows your age and IQ. All I can say is the name says it all. By the way, PETA is a great organization and I highly recommend you look into it. Might bring down that high blood pressure of yours from getting angry. |

***PETA proposes Lobster Empathy Center for Skowhegan jail**
http://bangornews.com/news/t/midmaine.aspx... A lobster has about the same type of nervous system (and thus, capacity to feel pain) as a cockroach or a grasshopper. I wonder how PETA feels about people killing cockroaches or eating grasshoppers. What a bunch of moonbats. |
