I was in the Roane county Juvenile court last Tuesday. Spence Bruner could hardly stand on his own feet. He stuttered and slurred and swayed couldn't remember what he was saying. Everyone in the court room new he was higher than a damn kite. Some of the other attorneys where laughing at him. I personally thought it was disgusting and no laughing matter. Our tax paying dollars are paying him to represent in this case juveniles and HE'S STONED outa his flipping mind! Why the hell is he still being permitted to practice law and handle court appointed cases? I could be wrong but I doubt it. It is a judges responsibility, duty to report such behavior in his court room to the appropriate authorities and take some kind of action. Why is everyone looking the other way and making a joke out of it? This is or should be a very serious matter and felt with!

Rosco, please post it. BTW, I think some locals are about to have police reports filed against them for fraud and public corruption. Remember, people, it is your tax dollars going up their noses.

One would think the police officer in the courtroom would have noticed this behavior and taken action. After all, if "certain other people outside of the good ole boy clan" were on the street acting like that they would be arrested, and probably for "possession" just for being "under the influence". It is these kinds of incidences in and outside the courtroom that give credibility to the many opinions about corruption. Then they wonder why they don't get any respect!

Exactly correct, but the real question is "why did the police officer not take action?" Was he afraid to? If he publicly displays cowardice, he is in the wrong career and that can only end badly. Is he a part of the Good Ol Boy club, awaiting his turn? The more they rub his face in it now, the worse he'll be when his turn finally comes. If your law enforcement officers are mere cowards or future crooks, your community is doomed.

Ask yourselves, "Is this the legacy I want my children to have?" Are they going to think back to your time and think "they built me a good world" or are they going to ask, "Why did they let things go so wrong? We they so desperate for another dollar, or were they just too cowardly to stand up and say, "This is wrong!""

I think of the many men who have died on the battlefields in foreign and domestic wars for freedom and justice in this country. Many of them died while lying in the extreme cold or heat with their arms and legs blown off and their guts blown out and half lying on the ground... their last words being "mama help me", or "I just want to go home". They died in such a sad and lonely way while defending our country from corrupt tyrants who hate America. When the corrupt people in our governments, both national and local, make a mockery of truth and justice by abusing and using our governments for their own professional and personal gain... I believe those men on the battlefields died their horrible deaths for nothing! It's a damn shame! Unfortunately, the corrupt have no shame. I don't know how they ever celebrate a 4th of July holiday with any conscience or desire for change. Hopefully if just one of them reads this they might turn around. But I doubt it.

More On That, remember who the ones in power now are. They are the ones who grew up in the Viet Nam era. They sold their souls for draft deferments or plush assignments. They joined the National Guard and shot college kids at Kent State rather than chance facing a real enemy. A few served honorably and bravely, Bob Kerry comes to mind. However, I think John Kerry, Bill Clinton, John McCain, etc, are more the norm now. BTW, you will have to do a lot of research to get behind the public facade and to understand the references.

I understand the references, as I am very knowledgeable on the history of all those you referenced. The only one that even came close to having any honorable service was perhaps McCain. Clinton dodged serving our country in the military and Kerry sold his soul, more or less with his lies and misrepresentations, including those he told to get his purple heart. For those who died on the battlefields in all the wars we have fought, like I described in my prior comment, my heart mourns what they died for. They would roll over in their graves if they could see what is going on in this country today. The dope smoking rejects from the 60's and 70's are the ones who are running this country into the ground today. Sad to say. I am sure you agree with me on that.

Ace McCain is an interesting case. His father and grandfather held four stars, he spent six years as a POW, and yet he retired as a mere Captain. Something is badly wrong there. And now BBC World News gives us this gem http://dailycurrant.com/2013/06/10/john-mccai... ?

But enough of that, let's get back to crooked lawyer and local political corruption. There may be something major break in a few days.

The news does get out. You just have to be intelligent enough to see it and to put it together. Or maybe you are expecting torchlight and pitchfork parades? Our efforts are to get information moving. If the voters don't act on it, it's more proof that subtlety is wasted on the dense...or the cowardly.

Actually, it's kind of fun to see people try to turn these threads into name calling contests when one of them gets too close to embarrassing someone.

And on another recent subject. The lawyer who defended the firefighter who Washam beat up and arrested was Jeff Daniel.

These silly folks do this type of stuff all the time. The only thing posted was a silly little post about a drunk lawyer in another COUNTY? Everyone knows that dude is a drunk and incapable of doing his job, but yet it has nothing to do with Roane County. Well crap, if we are talking about corruption unrelated to this county, let us talk about the California government having all those commissioners making like $800K a year. Whew! If you want people to do something about a drunk lawyer in his position, go post something in the county where people CAN ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. WTF do people want us to do about it here? Do you want people here to vote the drunkard out? Do you want the people to vote the people out in California? I mean come on.. Good grief.

And if we are just going on "affiliations" to make a point about corruption ... really? LOL! Just because you're affiliated with someone doesn't mean you're guilty of who and what they are. I'm sure almost everyone is somehow affiliated with a criminal. It doesn't make you a criminal. Good grief.

OK, how about Brenda Hall McDonald? I saw documentation that indicates that she may have been involved in lying to a chancellor in court.

Where to start....on July 18 and 19 the Supreme Court against Donice Buttler will be heard in Roane county. This has been a long time coming. This case represents a tiny, tiny fraction of the people victimized by Donice Butler. Folks there is evidence and there is proof but in order to protect the integrity of on going cases most of that evidence needs to be reserved for those cases so that the proof is not thrown out of court. Miss Butler does in fact have a serious drug and alcohol problem but more so she is the deepest kind of evil. Narcassistic and sociopathic. She has no fear of consequences and does not believe she can be held accountable for any of her actions. She cares not for the truth and justice or the people she harms. She thinks nothing if lying in open court. In her mind she is above reproach. Every encounter is a potential next victim. If she wins this case anyone envolved will be forever terrorized at her will. Ms. Butler has a seriously sick and demented sense of power.
I agree that our associations do not necessarily define us individually or our character. We are all guilty of making bad judgement calls at times. I freely and shamefully admit a past acquaintance with Ms. Butler. I have been on both sides of this soulless women. I have seen her manipulation of human nature up close and personal. I've also been on the receiving end of her lies, terror and manipulation of the justice system to terrorize and ruin innocent lives. This woman is a skilled liar and has in fact bragged of her skills to me on several occasions. I will relay to you a story told to me by Ms. Butler were she blatantly bragged of her skill set...she explained that at one time she worked for I believe Quantico in Virginia. She was in the military at the time. My memory is a little foggy on that particular detail but if not exact it was very similar. Okay so her superiors had gotten word that Ms. Butler used marihuana. She claims she was called upon to take a lie detector test. That morning on the way to work she claimed she was getting high. She claims she lied during the test and said that she was such a good liar that she fooled the test and passed all the while she was stoned. This was her story that she blatantly bragged to me directly about. I know I am not the only person she has told this too. I do not know if it actually happened or was in fact just another of Ms. Butler lies to make herself appear invincible. I don't know why drug testing wasn't used and that's not really the point here. I have also personally witnessed her lying under oath in court on more than one occasion.

Also it is a fact that Donice Butler and Andrew Hall where at one time close both personally and professionally. I will not defend the character of Mr. Hall but to be fair Ms. Butler has had both personal and professional relationships with many Attorneys and others within the legal and justice system and for the purpose of this particular topic the focus is Ms. Butler. Which leads me to another of Ms. Butlers mental and character disorders. She thrives on attention. She demands attention and will go to dramatic and even criminal extremes to obtain attention. So lets add attention to her list of addictions. Sex, drugs, alchol, power and attention. Unfortunately there is no help available within mental medical field at this time to help this woman and if there were she would never seek such help. The best and only way to protect the public from such a person is to strip her of her ability to represent herself in such a position to be of service to those at their most vulnerable. Also it would be "glorious" if our legal system would take criminal action against Ms. Butler. they have had more than ample opportunity to do so but for what ever their reasons have chosen not to causing more harm to her victims and adding to her sick sense of power and grandious. In affect enabling her to continue her distructuin of innocent victims and the law. If you are serious about your convictions to see justice I would recommend that you attend the hearing on July 18 and 19. If you have been a victim of Ms. Butler, know some who has, simply want to see justice and support the desire to force our justice system to make just rulings or are simply curious I strongly urge you to attend. In the least please support those that she has harmed. There are soo many and as many of you know in this particular county it is brave to act in your own defense of mis justice. What should be a given and a respected standard has to be considered an act of bravery amongst such corruption and potential retaliation so please stand with these folks, your neighbors and support their efforts to see justice served.
