The feeling of HOME-TOWN pride is gone, Coach Pankey or Coach Brackett would have been a blessing to our YELLOW JACKETS! With football as popular as it is in south shouldn't HEAD Coach be a VOTED position? Hiring should be within county esp. STATE. Maybe the rumor is true, hearing all over town that Jackets will boycot this season?!

I guess I can see you saying that about Pankey but Brackett is already a head coach at Oliver Springs and they were one win away last season from being in the State Championship game. Pankey is more than qualified for the head coach postion at Roane county high school or should i say (wrong county high ) he has been dedicated to the school system the kids as well as the people he works with and the community . so it really just shows that no matter how much you do somethings are never enough but everything happens for a reason and all i say is everything works out in the end . so to my big cousin i love you brian pankey and you have done a great job!

congrats cousin on your new position at Austin East High as you can see on my last post. Everything happens for a reason and everything will work out, and guess what everything did. Pankey or Brackett, either one would have been a great coach for Kingston. They were both raised in the program, and had the heart to be a Kingston football coach. They knew what it meant to strap on the pads, and go against Harriman, Rockwood, Alcoa, Gatlinburg-Pittman back in the day. We needed someone who understood the tradition of Kingston and the rivalries we have. We need someone who can return the passion to Kingston football, and either one of these guys would have been great for the job. congrats to Pankey on his new position with AE. Take it easy on us Pankey!

Pankey coached my kid and he turned into a fine player at the high school. I hope you do well pankey, remember the little people when you up there at AE winning state titles!
