Dreamgirl wrote: Chris Savoie,(former?) Unfortunately for Chris Savoie, any desirable reforms of Japan law have nothing to do with his case. Contrarily, the existence of conniving manipulators like Chris Savoie BOLSTER the opponents to reform. So his PR agency has taken on a difficult task. I am not surprised that they decided to tackle the issues in an indirect manner, by introducing the story of someone else, and merely alluding to Chris Savoie. I doubt the PR agency will push for a bigger spotlight or publicity for the Chris and Amy Savoie; much like how the Christian right wing is disavowing Carrie Prejean after they discovered she made a sex tape. The minute they figure out that Chris' bigamy, adultery, AND taking foreign nationality will tarnish them, they won't endorse or support him. They will not want to associate their Christian brand with his name. The Hague supporters (crnjapan etc) will not through their weight behind him either. There are so many worthy fathers who have indeed lost their child to a foreign land; they're going to pick somebody who's reputation is impeachable, unlike the Savoie clan.

Yeah, it will be interesting to see if the Christian PR company continues to represent such un-Christian people like Chris Savoie and Amy Vican/Miga/Sullivan/Savoie. After all, they are the ones that lined up the Today Show interview and other media exposure. Can the the vile and vicious Chris/Amy Savoie pair be successfully portrayed as victims deserving our pity and sympathy? And if so, how much is this going to cost them?

No! AMY and NORIKO shouldn't be portrayed as victims! CHRIS should be portrayed as victim of the Japanese legal system at the most. The children are the real victims. They should deserve our sympathy and pity.

They should deserve our sympathy and pity. Let alone the "Japanese legal system", just analyze the "victims" of the "break-up/divorce Chris-style": CHRISTOPHER= lost the convenience of seeing the children 2 weekends a month in his own neighborhood. But he can still see them in Japan if he wants to. He has the money and time to do that. He's rarely seen them for the past 4 years anyway! HURT-LEVEL=ALMOST NIL! ISAAC and REBECCA=2 senarios: 1. CURRENT IN JAPAN- able to see dad Chris twice a month (as before -or less- for the past 4 years) depending on the willingness of Dad to walk extra mile to see them as a proof of real love! HURR-LEVEL=NONE (used to!) 2. DAD's PLAN in FRANKLIN, TN= lost the security blanket of a loving mother and caregiver (because Noriko would be either in Japan or in a Tennessee jail!); completely lost the Japanese identity, culture, and language, and start from square one in learning a new foreign language. Education will be slagged behind their peers; social and psychological developments will be out of synch with their peers. The feelings of an outsider are with them for the rest of their life. Lost contacts with their maternal relatives unless CHRIS regularly take them back to Japan for visit! They will be forced to call the one destroying their mother's happiness "mother!" HURT-LEVEL=MAXIMUM!!! NORIKO= either as a miserable woman in Japan since she was cheated on her marriage and on her financial right; most of all her children were stolen from her and are forced to call her enemy/home-wrecker as "MOTHER". Or as a social prisoner cum frustrated mother/nanny in Franklin Tennessee, never being able to assimilate into the new culture/socio-environment. HURT-LEVEL=MAXIMUM As NOW, she accepts the break-up of her marriage, shorter stick on financial situation, but happy with her childrens at her homeland. HURT-LEVEL=MODEERATE. AMY= shi is NOT a victim but a profiter. She gains everything: a slave Chris for her and her own 3 children; a sizable financial asset. Just shred some tears! BTW, "what": why do you have to hide your IP location in EVERY forums?

charges are all dropped against christopher.. now he can plan another kidnapping plan and this time succeed with the plan. traumatize the kids again.. Instead I hope charges against Noriko will be dropped and the kids can be raised by both parents.. an agreement will be done. I wonder if Noriko could sue Amy for psychological abuse... is that possible? Guess Japan got pressured to drop the charges..

Now, he can go and torture his little kids again. Torture them with presents. I can almost here them scream: Ha! Ha! Ha! No justice these days! Parents can now come together and agree. This couldn't possibly be happening! It's traumatizing enough for the kids, Japanese, Japan, Tennessee National Guard, birds, Obama-chan, Shinkansen passengers, forum trolls, sashimi lovers, Bleach fans and Nemutan.

Guys, this case has nothing to do with sex and affairs. I think the sexual backstory just makes this case sexier. Not so boring. The case isn't even about Noriko's supposed victimization by coming to the U.S. voluntarily and signing a divorce agreement. If she didn't like the deal why did she and her lawyer sign the thing? Are they that stupid? Nor is the case about the fact that the Savoie's are an attractive couple who are articulate and good at interviewing and therefore are getting the press to pay attention to Japan's evil and backward family law system. Or Savoie's religion. Bitch about it all you like, the fact is that the American press love them and they keep getting invited back. I don't see Dreamgirl or Noriko on the Today Show! The Christian comments are the most stupid since everyone knows that he is Jewish. And who cares about that either! Irrelevant. The woman could have negotiated for a divorce in Japan if Japan had decent enforceable laws. So, the point is, change the laws in Japan. You should be attacking the laws that made this situation happen, not the people who are victimized by it, whether you think that Noriko or Chris is more of a victim who cares? The perp here is the Japanese stupid family law system. Blame that. Who can blame Savoie for getting the hell out of a stupid racist system that won't even let him see his own kids. Of course you need to forum shop if the forum you're in is discriminatory and stupid in its laws. If a gay person wants to get married, he doesn't stay in Texas. And if a man wants to see his kids he needs to figure out a way to get the heck out of Japan. All power to those smart people who care about their children. Like the Czech guy who left with his kid because he saw what they did to Savoie. He's still married to, technically. But he wants a divorce from his selfish Japanese wife, just like Savoie did. All men considering divorce with Japanese wives, get your kids and get the hell out of Japan now!!!

bkh wrote: I wonder if Noriko could sue Amy for psychological abuse... is that possible? I doubt it, because they would have to prove a prima facie case for that intentional tort and the standard for intentional infliction of emotional distress is pretty high; one needs to prove the actual damage and the case would have to be filed in TN, where the tort allegedly took place since Japan does not have a long arm statute. Very unlikely she would try to go to a TN court for relief and face arrest for her crimes! And a TN judge would laugh a lawyer who takes her on out of court if he/she showed up without Noriko under these circumstances. And she would immediately be counter-sued. On the other hand, since Noriko has been indicted with kidnapping and since her friends claim in the press that she did it with forethought(that she felt trapped", I think that the former husband could easily bring an action against his ex-wife (for himself and on behalf of his children) for breach of contract, false imprisonment, outrageous conduct, intentional infliction of emotional distress, loss of consortium, fraud, negligent misrepresentation, and numerous other causes of action. Many of these would also be enforceable in Japan, especially the breach of contract claims. Japan does not enforce foreign court awards of punitive damages as a matter of social policy but compensatory damages in such a case could be very high indeed. Savoie could also bring the breach suit directly to a Japanese court to get part of his divorce settlement money back. That's what I would do if I were him because enforcement of foreign court orders have to go through the Hague system, take longer and are not as sure a bet.

TaranaNostangia wrote: <quoted text> the help of the home-wrecker Amy and company! Why do you people keep on harassing Amy? Sounds like typical female mob psychology jealousy to me. We gay guys see right through it because we're used to the same verbal tactics. Let's face it, Noriko wrecked her own home. Amy just finished the job. Takes two to tango, honey. Everyone knows, the wife almost always wins against a lover if she is at all worth keeping! Noriko must be a real you-know-what to be married to if she couldn't use her feminine wiles to hold on to her attractive, rich, smart sugar daddy. And her behavior more or less proves her money-motivated selfishness. She should be absolutely ashamed of her self. She's not getting any sympathy in our community, darling. And Amy obviously isn't afraid of these personal attacks. It's not frightening her off. She's got the mainstream media and the U.S. senate on her side. She is one smart, tough, articulate, sweet chick and the press know it and keep asking her back. She is in the moral right in the only issue that matters here. Kidnapping kids is wrong. And Japan is aiding and abetting criminals. Nothing else matters. Not hot sexy affairs or messy divorces or double or triple or quintuple nationality. Uh uh. Government aided kidnapping by the racist, xenophobic Japanese government and the citizens who keep electing the octogenarian racists.

>But he can still see them in Japan if he wants to. He has the money >and time to do that. He's rarely seen them for the past 4 years >anyway! You are so full of crap. Everyone knows that visitation is not ENFORCED in Japan even with a Japanese COURT ORDER. That is why Savoie had to come to the U.S.--- Because of these stupid Japanese family laws that are so unjust. It is not fair for subject a parent to the whims of the other in the midst of an acrimonious divorce. These two people hate each other. That's the point of court-enforced custody arrangements that Japan's stupid archaic racist system does not allow. Unless Japan changes, your perfect world solution is IMPOSSIBLE. So it is a red herring because Savoie never had that as a reasonable alternative, so he was absolutely in the moral right to shop for a forum where he could guarantee access to his kids not subject to the whims of a contract breaker and someone perfectly willing to commit a CRIME in order to deny the other parent visitation. Nobody can possibly argue with sanity that Japan's family law system provides adequate protection for both parents, nor can anyone at this point argue that Noriko is one who can be taken at her word. She's proven that one wrong big time, honey!

Hi "Gay and Proud", Are you another "Chris", all the time babling the nonsense to the end of the world !?! Don't tarnish the gay community. Be yourself. We are proud of "being civilized", respecthul people. When we come into other people's house, we respect their rules and customs. We just can't say "it has to be OUR rules", or "you have to change your rules to be like ours!" We use chopticks to eat so please don't criticize us of using the chopsticks rather than folks and spoons then demand that we have to use folks and spoons; worse steal our rice to your house so you can use folks and spoons!! Be civilized and respectful. Until you figure it out, it's a waste of time to have a dialog with non-sense babler.

We gay guys see right through it because we're used to the same verbal tactics. so that means you are pro Amy? sad that ppl support Amy who spreading the word out it is ok to cheat and take a married man.. Shame on her sham on any woman and man who cheat on their spouse.. Japan is not helping Noriko. They don't have a law yet which might change one day... For now I believe Noriko should have respected the law of USA and christopher the law of Japan.. plus he is still legally married in Japan.. he needs to take care of that documents first.. Also USA court should have helped Noriko.. and Christopher should have helped Noriko.. but overall I believe the court and everyone around Noriko did not help her.. Amy did not help her.. christopher and Amy nagged her while she lived here.. They psychologically abused her.. that she felt trapped.. Now I hope the TN will drop the charges against Noriko since charges against Christopher in Japan has been dropped .. and then both parents need to meet up and work on visiting schedule.. The kids are used to live in Japan that is their home country regardless christopher likes it or not.. I hope the kids will have a normal relationship soon.. I hope Noriko will let Chris in their live and work things out.. Now to Mr. Gay.. are you jealous.. how do you know Noriko wrecked the marriage? How do you know Christopher is the angel? OR Amy the angel? They both are evil they used the USA media and court and the government to spread things about Noriko They abused the children rights.. by posting picture of them around the internet.. If there is a statement or an article saying Noriko wrecked the marriage pls post it here.. I would love to read it.. What I only find on the internet is one sided and no side of Noriko except one of her friend.. Sad sad sad.

Most of the whole world agrees with us! Except some Arab countries that also have backwards laws. Nice company to keep you fools! Noriko lived in the U.S. before and she knew exactly what she was doing. She is the real manipulative bitch. No wonder the husband dumped her ass. Lying bitch that's all. Get off this forum you slimy Japanese bitches. We don't need to import your sick perverted culture, that's for sure!
