Much of the heritage of our state is intricately tied to the mining industry. The mining industry is an industry which represents the entire state, unlike the "Famous Potatoes" moniker which the state license bore for many years. It would also be a fitting tribute to those men and women who worked and died in the various mines of Idaho.
As a distinctive symbol, it might even serve to encourage people from out-of-state to consider including Idaho in their vacation planning. |

Yes it would be a great theme for Idaho plates. Mining money has raised familys, helped out the community. Mining has benefited Idaho alot threw the years.
