Rogersville man suffers heart attack as firefighters arrive to battle blaze

“When the ambulance got there they defibrillated him and brought him back. He had a heart rate, and he was trying to breathe some on his own when the ambulance left with him. "He didn't have a pulse or a heart rate for a while.”

A fireman responding to a large shed fire Wednesday afternoon in Hawkins County near Rogersville performed CPR, and along with paramedics, saved the life of the homeowner who collapsed into cardiac arrest ... via Times-News Online

that goes to show that fireman go beyond fire fighting but i have to say that gary murrell is 1 of the best paramedics hawkins county has ever had he is no longer a paramedic but he still knows what to do so thanks gary you owe yourself a pat on the back

Having had a heart attack or two myself I would like to say excellent work and glad to have you fellas around when an emergency strikes. Emergency responders deserve EVERYONE'S respect and they certainly have mine.
