Is this incredible or what? All for "SHOW", using our Hard-Earned Tax Dollars & they claim to be worried about the Nation's Money Supply...apparently, NOT when it's comes to something frivolous that they want to do! Apparently, only when it comes to something you NEED, like Food, Shelter, & Medical Care!

Globalization is a reletive term.
For the big shot millionaire, politician, or CEO, the term globalization is bandied about.
For the regular person on the street that the rich, the news media, and the politicians dont listen to, the word used isnt globalization.
Its just "sell-out".
Whenever a lot of folks here the word "globalization" being used whenever some big shot politician speaks at us (not with us), we just tune out the voice of the speaking politician. Its just background noise.
There is just one more rich guy that aint going to do anything to help us. Nobody is buying it anymore.
We have had 20 years of "globalization", and we are so broke now that our towns cant run the school system. And next year will be worse.
Nah, I think just about everybody in America has by now been sifted into one of two categories...
A...Seen globalization for what it is (rich CEOs using Congress to sell our jobs overseas). This would be the regular guy on the street.
B...So wealthy, or involved with a fat government job with good benifits, as to enjoy the "Ivory Tower" syndrome. These types can still believe in NAFTA and the globalization hype and spin. It aint costing them anything. They will do allright.
Until the government goesw into economic tasilspin, and they all of the sudden loose their jobs. Then, they will join group A.
i agree...

most people realize globalization is harmful.

we should all speak out and oppose all "nafta" like treaties anywhere.

international treaties LIKE nafta usurp the democratic process.

it is the powerful trying to control everyone else that they cant control any other way. to make a billions of extra dollars.

it is pathetic really.

Well it's only the thirty second or thirty third time the house has voted to end the ACA or portions of it ! What is that old quote about doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result ?
Republicans in congress aren't one bit worried about deficit spending. They are worried about deficit spending that doesn't benefit THEIR constituiencies.... that should be pretty clear to everyone by now. Do the Republicans think we are out of money for more tax cuts ? NOPE. Do the Republicans think we are out of money for defense spending ? NOPE. Do the Republicans think we are out of money to attack Iran ? NOPE. They believe we are out of money to strenghten Social Security or Medicare, or to provide healthcare for millions of Americans that have none. Sound logical ? Not to me, but it must to Republicans....I guess they don't need those programs supported by Dems.
Personally I would rather have Medicare and Social Security than any tax cut the Republicans can propose, since by the time I will need them I will be too old to work, and tax cuts only help those who are working.

Now, now OT, ya just condemned the House for doing the same thing over and over. Obama has already spent 1 TRILLION in stimulus, but because of ZILCH in results, you are advocating doing the same "thing" again.(One might conclude you think an action ok for the dems but not the pubs.) Just exactly how much is enuf?? The first TRILLION didn't work, why should the 2nd or 3rd?? I wouldn't think it takes a rocket scientist to realize obama's policies are STIFLING growth/jobs/recovery and a different approach is needed.

Hey, you just have to admire the political courage of Republican House members - they voted to take health care away from 30+ million Americans, to take thousands of 20-somethings off their parents' health plans, and to permit denial of health care coverage to people with disabilities or pre-existing conditions. Not only do they not give a s**t about the rest of us, they don't give a s**t what we think about it. No fear.

They care for the Very Rich and that is all,pay no taxes, and screw the working and little people.

And yet...the clear majority of the polls reflect the majority of Americans are AGAINST Obamacare being enacted. Yes, there are definitely some "good" parts of Obamacare which includes elimination of pre-existing conditions, extending health care coverage for kids. I'm not saying healthcare reform isn't needed but by-and-large this entitlement program should be trashed as it does NOTHING to reign in healthcare costs or taxation upon all americans (the likes of which will hit, and hit HARD, at the end of this year).

I understand your aggravation against the pubs for voting this way, but I fear ya simply forgot that these same congressmen were voted into office to do exactly what they did. So, if ya want to get disgusted, throw your anger at the people that voted them into office. You are displaying the old "bad news so kill the messenger" ideology.

According to Pelosi, people who don't pay for health insurance are freeloaders.

Then what does she call people who don't pay for their own food using food stapms?

Aren't they freeloaders too?

The Fed is hardly a left wing communist organization E1. When THEY say more stimulis is needed, I would think the reality of that would become obvious ! That's why I posted it.
I have no love for the Fed or it's chairman, that is the organization of big business, run by big business and for big business, and is no friend of a small businessman like me. Ever watch the Dow, E1 ? Notice how the Dow reacts to statments from the Fed ?
I agree with ONE thing in your post...a different approach is needed, too bad you want to return to the same one that didn't work in 1982. You asked "how much is enuf ?" E1, right back at ya !

Back at ya again E1. The crowd elected with Obama, and Obama himself made no secret of the fact that they intended to pass universal healthcare. They did. End of story....except the next group refuses to take no for an answer. When they couldn't kill the ACA with 32 votes, they thought a conservative bunch of justices of the Supreme Court would do it for them. Well....we all know by now how that turned out with the Chief Justice siding with the liberals, so those in congress thought it would be prudent to vote on repeal 33 times ! Yep that was what they were elected for alright.
BTW, I have no problem with one vote on the issue, or two...perhaps three but come on E1 enough is enough, time to focus on something that might actually get enacted. This is as dead as 4 oclock.

I would guess some are. By the way, how is your application for those stamps coming ? Did you get the local office to give you an emergency packet ? They do that if you claim extreme hardship but I guess you already know that.
When you get yours, and let us know, I will be sure of the fact that people who don't pay for their own food but use food stamps are freeloaders.

It is sad that liberals are so blind and stupid. I mean when Bush was in office,he did the stimulis plan and you idiots were saying he was giving money to big business. Obama spends more in less time and he's trying to better the economy. This is typical thinking of liberals. You hate the rich because they are rich. What kind of stupid thinking is that?Mitt cant help that he's rich and smart and you idiots are dumb and stupid and lazy. No one has been able to explain to me why young men and women serve in the U.S. Military for 20 years, risking their lives protecting freedom, and only get 50% of their pay on retirement. While Politicians hold their political positions
in the safe confines of the capital, protected by these same men and women, and receive full-pay retirement after serving one term. It just does not make any sense.
Nor does offering a cut rate health care plan for everyone but those same politicians.

What would you say to a Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution:
"Congress shall
make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply
equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law
that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to
the citizens of the United States ."

No, it's too bad that YOU want to return to the one that made things worse.

Obama's had three years and nothing he's done has worked. Why would you want to give him another shot?

When someone tells me that things were worse than they thought, my first reaction is “I guess you didn’t give it enough thought?” When you’re talking about the supposedly worst recession since the great depression, something that would require A LOT of deep thought, then your failure is due to incompetence.

As to the Fed, they simply don’t know what to do. Normally they would lower interest rates to stimulate investment. But the interest rates are already so low that there’s nowhere to go and have any great impact.

I don’t know where you got your news, but according to the notes of the Fed’s June meeting, only a couple of members were for stimulus:

“A few members expressed the view that further policy stimulus likely would be necessary to promote satisfactory growth in employment and to ensure that the inflation rate would be at the Committee’s goal.”

That’s not exactly “overwhelming” support.

“Two participants said additional bond purchases are appropriate, while two others said they would be warranted in the absence of “satisfactory progress” in cutting unemployment or if downside risks increase.“

“The minutes also show policy makers considering the risk that further easing might pose. Some members of the committee noted that excessive purchase of Treasuries could “at some point, lead to deterioration in the functioning of the Treasury securities market that could undermine the intended effects of the policy.”

Maybe we’ll be like France, and offer NEGATIVE interest.

And as to the stimulus they referred to, here is what they were talking about:
“Since the June jobs report, San Francisco Fed President John Williams and the Chicago Fed’s Charles Evans said that the central bank could add additional stimulus through a third round of asset purchases, this time including housing debt.”

“If further action is called for, the most effective tool would be additional purchases of longer-maturity securities, including agency mortgage-backed securities,” Williams said in a July 9 speech in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho. Evans said he would have favored the Fed taking stronger action in June.”

Not quite what Obama wants to do is it?

By the way, you're quite insane if you think anyone with half a brain is going to be fooled into thinking Romney is a rags to riches story.

I'm unhappy with the ACA...but only because it isn't the public option, like we were sold during Obama's 2008 campaign.

If the Tea Party radicals were elected to oppose everything that Obama is trying to get passed (and they are certainly doing this), then why are they "enjoying" single digit approval numbers?
