No one seems to have realized the 2 people being investigated are the same 2 first responders who arrived on the fatality accident of their daughter 10/4/09 and 6 other teens.

Oh please, really! To say that the tragic death of their daughter is merely 'unfortunate' is cruel and vindictive. Where is the mercy? How can this town have any semblance of unity in its community when there is such mean spiritedness that you would shred a family during such intense grief?
If they are guilty the evidence would still have been there in a couple of months. |
||||
|
This is so wrong. I know the couple and they don't need this right now. I don't care if they actually DID it. My God, they just lost their daughter for Christs sake and people are actually wanting them hassled?? Why can't people have a little compassion. From what I understand, the funeral expenses were costly. Has it EVER occured to anyone that they might have had a temporary lapse in sanity following the death and desperately needed the money to cover the costs of the funeral???? Just a thought.
I heard that the church where the funeral was held charged the parents a buttload of money to have the funeral there. Whoever called them in needs to be lashed severely. |

the death of their daughter has NOTHING to do with this. This started a couple of years ago. A lapse of judgment due to their loss isn't an excuse. This started WAY before that happened. The Oklahoma City Fire department's collected money as well as the county departments in their area to pay for the funeral expenses. No one is hassling the family, they brought this on themselves, it was just a matter of time before it all caught up with them. Look at all of the documentation of WHEN some of this occurred, 2004 to now!
But I do agree that Town hall needs to be cleaned up. Those other workers need to go. Did you ever consider that no one called them in, maybe some of what is coming to light is the result of audits from places they've done business with and of their town. |

I'm just throwing speculation out there when it comes to WHY the money was taken. Even if the alleged embezzlement and the daughters death are in no way connected, the fact remains that someone is a cold, callous piece of sh*t for pressing this issue NOW. They may have brought the embezzlement issue on themselves, but why bring it up so soon after the girls death??? Can't anyone show any sort of compassion or mercy enough to wait just a few more months??
The lack of compassion and mercy is one of our biggest flaws as a society. The people who truly need slack and a bit of mercy don't get it and the murderous piece of garbage terrorists get special treatment. Someday we are going to be in desperate need of mercy and protection from almighty God when terrorists try to take over THIS country with Sharia law, like they are doing in Europe. But guess what, he won't show us mercy because we didn't bother to extend it to who truly should have gotten it. On a side note: Cashion isn't exactly a rich town. How much could they have gotten to have gotten the attention of the Feds? The FBI wouldn't just go into a small town like this and investigate embezzlement charges unless it was a significant sum of money. They also aren't likely to look into it just because someone called them in. Which leads me to think that someone got hold of a news station. That would also cause me to think that it was someone that turned them in. |

Ok retard, first of all these investigations take several months, there was no way that the investigation just started after the death of thier daughter. Yes it was a very sad thing to happen. But do you really think that they should not be charged with this just because of her death? So if I come by and rob your house blind and something happens to one of my kids, I should get away with it? That is what you are saying.

1 I actually feel sorry for the new mayor, as I'm sure he didn't know what he was getting into. Even when he tried to do something right as a board memeber he was over ruled by the other idiots setting on the board. Let's go back to electing and NOT appointing our board members! My heart goes out to the family who lost their daughter but who is going to help our elderly now that there utilities have gone up because town money has been used for OTHER things?? |
||||
I totally agree with you here. My heart also goes out to this family but like you said this should have been taken care of yrs ago. I am not saying that they did or didnt do anything and I pray that they didnt. I know it is really bad timing for this family and I realize they are still greaving thier loss and I pray for them but at the same time we need to fix this problem and do it the right way not just throw someone in there to fill the position. |

hey lives here: Retard?!!? That's real mature. And to answer your question, YES, I believe perhaps a bit of mercy would be in order in maybe letting them, "get away with it". If you or anyone else broke into my house, and something happened to your kid, I for one would be reluctant to do anything about it. That would include filing any charges. It's called mercy and compassion. And I suggest you learn a bit more about giving it because someday, something is going to happen to you either before or after you made a poor moral decision, and no one is going to listen to your cries.
Oh and by the way, I heard they closed the investigation and found no evidence of wrongdoing. Just a rumour, and don't know if that is true. If it is, then I stand by what I said before about someone out there being a real sorry piece of sh!t. It may or may not have been going on for months, but I don't think it is a coincedence that we are just NOW hearing about it this soon after their daughters death. Someone at the very least chose to go to the media at a time when they were most vulnerable. So either way you want to look at this, they pissed someone off, with the small town politics following. From what I understand of criminal investigative procedure, the police close the investigation, hand the info over to the D.A, and the D.A. then makes the decision on whether or not to press charges. If your really interested in justice, the boy driving the car that killed the girl might ought to be charged. From what I understand, he was drunk. I don't know if I would give him too harsh a sentence, but for his own sake, he should have something to shake him straight so it doesn't happen in the future. |

1 In response to Anon, in regards to the media, if you've attended ANY town meetings, you would know that a reporter sits in nearly every time, media outlets use, even in rural areas, AP type sharing. No one has complained that the media reported on the very tragic accident, why complain about these charges? If they're innocent of wrong doing as employee's of the town, those same media outlets will also report that. In response to Concerned Citizen, the prior embezzlement was handled in the court system, restitution was ordered and according to the latest updates on the court network, must be being paid or other charges would have appeared. I do have to agree that it's somewhat ironic that the last two Clerks have been charged, either the Town Council are bloomin' idiots, are someone within that Town is dang good at framing them. I'm just saying.... |

The FBI wouldn't just go into a small town like this and investigate embezzlement charges unless it was a significant sum of money." Embezzlement is not just money and it doesn't have to be a signigicant amount. Any property of a business for personal gain/use can constitute embezzlement, ie office supplies, company vehichles, cell phones, lying on your time sheet, etc. Last I checked, any amount over $1000 was considered Felony levels, not hard to do, when at one point IRS mileage was up to $0.55 a mile (over 4 years, that would only by 250 miles a year), if there is cell phone use(s) to calls that aren't business related on a business supplied phone, etc. And OSBI, is State Investigators, not FBI which is Federal. |

to lives here:
No, that's not what I said. I never said the boy should be charged with something that would ruin the rest of his life. Learn to read!! I understand it was an accident, but it is important to consider that alcohol was found in his system, while NO alcohol was found in the victims system. A felony would follow this boy for the rest of his life, which is why I don't think he should be charged with such. But maybe a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving and court appointed A.A meetings would do the trick. Just having to live with the knowledge that his reckless behavior cost a life is really punishment enough. Oh and by the way. The investigation has been closed up. Apparently, the person wanted to get some CLEET training and tried to get around doing some of the paperwork. He apparently didn't attempt to do anything criminal just didn't want to have to bother with the pain in the butt paperwork. That is quite understandable, though rather sloppy business. Also, the FBI was never involved. That was yet another nasty rumour spread around by small town, and small minded thinking. It was the OSBI. There was no embezzlement involved; they were able to account for every penny. The complaint was taken to Kingfisher county by some of the locals. After the investigation was closed and dropped, these people went BACK to Kingfisher and insisted all was not okay and that more needed to be done. They seem to think they are better investigators, or perhaps know more then the OSBI. Not sure what is up with that one, but I guess all will come out over time. |
||||
|
Well, I guess if the CLEET paperwork mishap is as serious as all that, then he will go to jail over it. But so far he hasn't, which leads me to think that more small town talk is rumor then actual fact.
Regardless of fact or rumor, I stand by what I said earlier about this going so public around the time of the daughers death NOT being a coincidence. This has been allegedly going on for years, yet the subject shows up on topix NOW?? It's the talk of the whole town NOW?? Why now?? That's all I'm asking. When was the D.A first contacted about this? Was it years ago and they are just now investigating? If someone went to the D.A. just recently then why did they wait so long? |
||||
|
So....Anon...if what you say is true, then everyone is back to work? Business as usual?

To Oh Wow:
I'm not aware of the current status in regards to the employment of those involved. When I mean current, of course I'm speaking of today. I do know that in small town politics in particular, when someone, regardless of guilt or innocence, is accused of a crime, they don't often simply resume their previous employment as though nothing has happened. The people involved have been forever tainted. That's the bad thing about rumor and gossip in such a close knit community. Even if innocence is proven, whispers will abound, and gossip won't ever go away. I don't think the folks involved will stay in town much longer. No doubt they will pack up and move away. |
||||
|
I know that if you check the court record the CLEET falsification with Danny & Ron has not been close, they are due back in court on December 2nd.
I also know that the investigation has NOT been closed on the town issues. it's just been very quiet lately. That investigation is still ongoing and will be for a few more months. You're right that they won't stay in town much longer, they had only planned to be here until their daughter graduated. Yes, some people that have been accused do resume their lives, don't flee town, and manage to hold their heads high when out in public. If you've done nothing wrong then you shouldn't have a problem walking down the street. You have to consider the source on some things and discount the others. |
