Say it ain't so!! Nepotism, in the hallowed halls of power in the great costal city of Bay St. Louis?!? Why I'm shocked!!
Bay St. Louis is "A Place Apart" by golly, I thought all of that sort of shenanigans went out when Eddie Favre left office.

I don't see how things are changing. There is lots of fat waiting to be trimmed. Gulfport and Biloxi are cutting back and the Bay is just adding more weight. I guess you can do that if you don't balance the books for 4 years.

give credit where credit is due. thank eddie farve for hires before he left office AND raises given before THIS COMING october. anybody know how much eddie hired his son onto the city for before he left office? eddie left a messy trail of crap for the new mayor to try to clean. eddie made sure to fix things real good for anyone comin behind him. good luck les cleaning up eddies big dam mess.

too bad eddie favre stacked the deck before he left and hired as many relatives as he could- both stepsons and his son at healthy pay of course. nepotism was a standard under his admin as everyone knows. dont try to make it look like the new mayor did it, call it like it is, not like you want it to be.

BFE left his mark - his skid marks - so much sh*t to clean up I don't think it'll ever be clean but the new guy isn't setting a good example from the start by allowing his own child to get such a large raise - how long has she been at the city working full time anyway - two years, maybe. and for working as a secretary in beautification - LMAO!!!!!I want a job like that!!!!!

Leadership is setting the right example for others to follow....just not in good ol' BSL!!!!!

I hate to put a damper on the mis-information here, but NO raises have been given by the new mayor, and CAN'T be given by the new mayor without council approval - until this coming OCTOBER. Anyone who knows "jack" about budgets knows that EF gave raises last year...last fiscal year for those who don't have a clue...and that NEW fiscal year starts in.....yes, you got it....OCTOBER 2009. The new mayor can only give raises or any other budget "adjustments" this coming October. Thank EF for anything up until October 1, 2009.

I am in the KNOW!!!! What you say is NOT SO!!!!Guess you haven't been to any city council meetings this year. They have approved raises in those "EXECUTIVE SESSIONS" that they have. Some certain "WELL CONNECTED" people have gotten nice "FAT" raises. I'll take a $5 hour raise to keep doing the SAME job anytime. Just let me know where to SIGN UP!!!!! Sure is easier to get the job and pay you want when your DADDY is in a position to help out!!!!!

Because you know SO MUCH about "JACK" please share with everybody why we have so many "NEW" hires that have come on board since EF has moved on to "GREENER" pastures. How about Randy Adams now working in beautification and Tom Farve (former council member)now working in public works !?!!! Did the new mayor slip these in or did the council approve these folks during one of their top secret "EXECUTIVE SESSIONS"????!!!! Or Maybe EF had it planned all along and the powers that be are just now getting around to making good on their promises.

For an extra 5 bucks an hour you would think that someone would update the BSL website.

When volunteers, potential visitors and others want to see what is going on in the Bay, all they pick up is the nay saying on sites like this.

The Bay still has much to offer - let's show it off!

Good idea!
So many city employees stand around with their fingers in their ears - time to make them produce. Expectations, achievement of them and good time management should be the source of raises - not how long you can stand around holding a clipboard before someone discovers that you really aren't and haven't been doing anything. If they had to perform in the private sector their familial arses would be out on the street.

I think the new mayor is doing a great job. He seems to have things moving again. It is about time. Give the man a break he just got elected. He has only been in office a few months. He has a big mess to clean up behind. You people need to lay off for a little while.

That's not how you spell indictment. And a statement is not a fact just because you YELL it. If you have facts, give them to us. Give us enough facts to prove you have information and not just assertions.

Daily Horoscope for December 1

Cancer

The nurturing Moon in your eleventh house of friends and associates, possibly brings a mentor into your life. There is always much wisdom that can be gained by observing the lives of others; you can avoid certain mistakes by watching them made by others. In this case, you may be faced with financial or sexual issues as Neptune and Chiron shake things up in your eighth house of sex, money, and power... if the stakes are high, you need to think twice. The Moon enters Gemini as the day goes on, causing you to look within.
