The new Sheriff is cleaning house

Word has it, that a wrench has been thrown into the good old boy network at the Sheriff's Department. A little bird says that that Mr. Whodat was told that his services would no longer be needed after the first of the year. Allegedly, after hearing the news, Mr. Whodat threw a temper tantrum equal to a nine year old girl not getting her way at a sleep over. Mr. Whodat reportedly was waiving and pointing fingers at people in the lobby saying "this is what you get for voting for 'him'." This is a huge plus for the people of Hancock County. Hopefully more changes will come.

Who is Mr. Whodat? You gotta help us who are not in the loop.

Hiring some locals who possess the skills and education to do a quality job would also be nice. Who is Mr. Whodat?

I believe Mr. Whodat is none other than good ole Matt Karl.

I guess he picked the wrong side. Happens all the time.

Looks like Jeremy Skinner that used to work for Waveland PD is going to be the new narcotics director for hancock county sheriff's department.

Hey like the new sheriff already, i was told thatWhodat is going to see the bay chief trying to get a job. I really do not think that is going to happen.

Are there any other higer-ups getting the boot? I can think of a few who are dead weight.

Agree. They are idiots if they hire ANYONE from the WPD. The old Waveland PD was the worst small town police department ever. Hope all of the old wpd employees and goons cops leave the Hancock county area forever.

There have been plenty of GOOD officers to come from Waveland. Just because a few left a bad mark doesn't mean they are all bad. Picking and choosing wisely with thorough backgrouns is a good idea here.

There were more than a few bad officers. I know you might not think that most were bad. I pose this question to you, if a good officer stands aside and says nothing while a bad officer does his deeds, is he really a good officer?

Happy for the new sherriff. Hope he cleans up the the good ole boy system in the sherrifs office and cleans up the dope heads and the thieves that Garber didn't worry about.

And the last time you were in this posistion and did something was?? Quit judging and living in the past. As far as I can tell, the bad ones are gone. Give the department a chance to redeem itself. As for the new Sheriff hiring any of them; like I said in my last post thorough backgound checks. Was I there at one point and did I do anything...YES to both. Unfortunately this doesn't make for selling papers or good TV ratings.
