Two Hampton Roads area banks refuse federal bailout

I believe my bank just changed. I think Old Point will now have all of my business as they seem to be an organization that knows what they are doing.

Many banks don't need more cash in order to lend, they need more *customers* who want to borrow! Until the government gets a clue as to how this massive destruction of household wealth has affected the mindset of consumers, it is going to continue to engage in futile half-efforts. I am surprised that TOWN BANK took TARP money.This is a disappointment.TOWN used to be a good bank--Not anymore.

Old point only has 37,249 shares in towm bank so just maybe we should look beyond the Daily Diversity,also known as the DP.
