1 If you think that Obama is worse than the borderline-dictator we found in Bush, you may very well be the reason that "Cappin Crunch" thinks Oklahoma is retarded. And, Cappin Crunch, Oklahoma's actually pretty great IMO. |

I just looked it up on the net, and sure enough...harmless!!
From wikipedia: Sodium percarbonate is a white crystalline water-soluble adduct of sodium carbonate and hydrogen peroxide.[1] Sodium percarbonate is the active ingredient in many powdered oxygen eco-friendly bleach products. It is an oxidizing agent and ingredient in a number of home and laundry cleaning products.[1] Despite the name, it is, in fact, a carbonate perhydrate.[1] Dissolved in water, it releases hydrogen peroxide and soda ash (sodium carbonate):[1] 2(Na2CO3·1.5H2O2) → 2 Na2CO3 + 3 H2O2 Soda Ash: Sodium carbonate (also known as washing soda, soda crystals or soda ash), Na2CO3, is a sodium salt of carbonic acid. It most commonly occurs as a crystalline heptahydrate, which readily effloresces to form a white powder, the monohydrate; and is domestically well known for its everyday use as a water softener. It has a cooling alkaline taste, and can be extracted from the ashes of many plants. It is synthetically produced in large quantities from table salt in a process known as the Solvay process Also used in Ramen noodles!! Sodium carbonate is a food additive (E500) used as an acidity regulator, anti-caking agent, raising agent and stabilizer. It is one of the components of kansui, a solution of alkaline salts used to give ramen noodles their characteristic flavor and texture I never saw anywhere where this stuff was used in porta potties.... After reading about it, it does makes sense about the cloud..seeing how water makes it react. |

Now 2120 Southwest Boulevard is a REAL WEST TULSA address location.
"West Tulsa" north of the Sinclair Refinery and SW of downtown Tulsa used to have its own "West Tulsa, Oklahoma" Post Office. Red Fork and Carbondale used to be separate Tulsa County towns southwest of Tulsa, too. For some odd reason, the United States Postal Service moved the West Tulsa post office building to the community of Red Fork and named it the "West Tulsa Station.(Of course this happened during my lifetime quite a while after the above mentioned towns were annexed by the city. Thanks for the information on sodium percarbonate. I know that baking soda will kill odors, too. Baking Soda is "sodium bicarbonate." I have put some baking soda in water in a microwave safe glass measuring cup and brought it to a boil in my microwave. Doing that removes the odors from various foods in the microwave. |

1 If I happened to be walking by their room or visiting with them, they shared with me. This was during the fall of 1964. Their folks sent them "care packages" often. Their noodles also were better flavored than some of the cheap stuff sold locally now. At that time, I had never seen ramen noodles in any store in Oklahoma. Did you know that ramen noodles are actually pre-cooked at the plant where they are made? Oh, one thing my friends also shared with me were cookies with a "tower" on them. I never asked them why the cookies had what looked like the "Eiffel Tower" on them. But, when I was in Japan in the early fall of 1967 for a hernia operation at an Army Hospital, after the operation and I was well enough to get out, a friend and I went to downtown Tokyo and we went to the "Tokyo Tower." It looks like the tower in Paris; but, it is larger. |
