He knew what he did was wrong, thus his resignation as District Attorney and now his payment for the vehicle. 2. The car in question was not his car nor designated for his use. It was intended for another official for a specific purpose. 3. This is not the only case of Merced County corruption. This is a small county of 180,000 people with a seemingly disproportionate number of corruption cases. That kind of crap pisses me off. Not he mention the extra 25 million we’re spending on the WWP because of just bad incompetent planning, another extra 10 million on a pool again bad planning and your bitching about a dude with a vehicle the city paid less than retail for that he admitted too. That vehicle was worth something, you paid for it. Not to mention what was $27,000 to a guy that was driving a county vehicle for all that time and getting $700 a month to do so. The guy is a crook and the attorney general should be ashamed of himself for not putting him behind bars and making him pay back all that $700 a month he collected of YOUR money! |

Isn’t it funny how the insecure hicks out in the valley take worthless bs and turn it into a personal debate. Let me get this straight. The smuck uses someone else’s county vehicle appraised for 27 grand, yes that is a worthless vehicle. The county didn’t pay that much, there is always three scams going in any government purchase. Then while your bitching about that 27 grand you want to spend another 50+ hours of court time at over 2 grand an hour to prosecute him for what he admitted to and had now paid for not to mention the county still has the vehical so they just profited on it. Then you the fbi to further investigate him, I don’t have a clue of were to start figuring the cost of that out then put him in prison for a dept he paid at a cost of over 50 grand a year. Wow lets make you governor better yet furrier since it you sound like a Fascist, we have some excess fund I’m sure you’d piss away at the drop of a hat, screw the real crime going on all around you. |

The amount of the money stolen from tax payers is not the issue. The issue is that this so called "smuck" was the District Attorney. The reason that government corruption exists is because sheeple like "bumwithalaptop" believe anything they are spoonfed. They don't ask questions. They just accept. They want to believe everyone in power is bad and there is nothing you can do about it. That there is some vast conspiracy. That is the lazy man's way. The others are right about this subject. You have to question authority, be skeptical. Hold these officials to the same standards that anyone would be held to. If they get a sweetheart deal that stinks, then scream that it stinks. Don't just accept it. That my friends is our right and our duty.
