I agree, that this article was a waste of 5 minutes, but I guess someone out there wanted to hear more about that Idol wannabe. I say it all the time when I see those sweet 16 shows on MTV.. I couldn't imagine spending so much money on a party when there are starving children and animals in the street. But I supposse if you have boat loads of the green, you don't think that way. Especially when you are giving the gifts away to charity.

I don't know Deborah. I've yet to hear about a $100,000 First Holy Communion, although I'm sure it's happened. This is becoming more of a norm in certain Reform communities. In Jericho for example, if you don't have a big showy Bar or Bat Mitvah your neighbors might think you are poor.
