Dr. Paul Kocay

Has anyone ever gone to Dr. Paul Kocay? I'm pregnant and needing a good Dr in Kerrville.

Yes I think Dr. Kocay is a very good Dr. Especially if there might be comp. with the preg.

NO! I used to work for him. He can be very insensitive to the poorer patients and becomes frustrated and short with a patient who asks too many questions.

Really? Interesting... Apparently at his office, you see all 4 Dr.s they rotate you...Dr. Kocay, Dr. Wampler, Dr. Jones, and the fourth one I'm not sure of the name... Did you work with any of these?

don't go to Kocay

we had a bad experience with him during the delivery of our daughter, he is really insensitive and rude.

I think his personality just comes across as rude. He is a bit loud and in a hurry at times. But I found that he was very sensitive and caring once you overlooed the exterior. He did a heck of a job with me when I went into labor and was really good with my elderly mom when she had to have a uterine biopsy done.

Well, if Dr. Kocay is not a good choice, then what about the other Drs in his office? Wampler? Jones? I need an OB in Kerrville area, I don't know anyone.

Hope you don't mind my asking, but what happened?

My wife and I just felt that he spoke to us as just another "number" on his "to do" list and he was in a hurry to get us out of the way. It's just not what we expected, maybe I'm over exaggerating, but that's just how my wife and I felt. As far as the rest of the Doctors we have no complaints. It's funny but we never met Kocay until the night of the delivery, Ironic isn't it.

Hmmm, okay. That's interesing. Thanks for your opinion.

To be honest I really wouldn't recommend having your baby at SPMH. When my friend had her baby the Dr. that delivered the baby didn't even let my friend see it for hours they cleaned her up and left her. Leading her to believe her baby had died and she was crying that whole time. The Dr. and nurses at SPMH don't care about the patients well some do but only a few all they care about is getting a paycheck. Thats just my opinion though.

I seriously doubt that happened! A little exageration perhaps. I've had several friends have babie there and experienced nothing of the sort. Give me a break!

Well, I just met Dr. Kocay at my appointment yesterday and I loved him. He spent alot of time with me at the appointment and was very friendly and talked about just about everything pertaining to my pregnancy and previous pregnancies. He was had quite a sense of humor also. He's very knowledgeable.
