The son was stopped in April and is just now thinking about his Dad's ashes? Also not too concerned about the 1999 Caddy. Kudo's to Mr. Carlson but it seems like there might be just a little bit more to the story.

The son who was stopped in April was NOT the one who called the auto business - it was his brother. Adam probably didn't even know Dad's ashes were in his brother's vehicle. Maybe the son who was stopped owed a bunch of money on the car, and thought it was easier to let it sit impounded rather than get foreclosed on - who knows...

The ashes have been missing since April when the car was confiscated. Not sure how long the car was impounded at Mr. Carlson's lot, but the article says he discovered the ashes two weeks ago. Seems to me that the sons would have taken steps to retrieve both the car and the ashes before now. It sounds like from the article, if one of the son's employers have not had him call, the ashes would still be in limbo.

Let me know if I'm missing something but the situation just struck me as odd.

I caught that part. And perhaps Adam didn't know the ashes were in the trunk. But after two months, you'd think one of the sons would be thinking "I wondered what happened to dad's ashes?". Shouldn't have been too hard to figure out the ashes were in the trunk of the Caddy.
Not odd at all

I worked for the Saint Paul Police Impound for 5 years. This story has nothing odd about it. We have found cremains in dozens of cars. People dont always come back for that, I cant comment as to why, but they dont. As for not coming back for a 99 Cadiallc, the car is 10 almost 11 years old and who knows what kind of shape its in. People leave their cars to Impound all the time. Its a great way to get rid of their car and junk for free.

Ladies and Gentlemen, watch at a near by theater in your neighborhood the new movie coming out, " Caddy Ashes" starring " Toasted Torrence ". He survives loneliness, neglect, abandonment, stuffed in a trunk,....but he makes it back to the family.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Libra

It's Christmas Eve and you're running around like a scalded cat. However, it will do you no end of good if you can find a few moments here and there for some quiet contemplation. You might want to visit a place that's sacred to you, or take a walk in some beautiful surroundings so you can commune with nature. You need to feel that you're connecting with something bigger than yourself.
