In the never-ending pursuit of the progressives to get their hands on everything without actually fixing anything, the Obama administration is now adding another flaming chainsaw to the juggling act.

Progressives are like those home owners who's houses are always under repair because they never finish one project before tackling the next.

Mr Obama, finish the trim on our economy repair before you move on to replacing the hot water heater, will ya?

Oh and dont forget the takeover of the internet via the FCC.

Obama is entertaining the idea of a newspaper bailout as well.

The WH also told the various state legislators that that they should go around their governors if they refuse to accept stimulus funds.

The whole problem with this Administration is they have absolutely no clue that when American citizens do not have money to spend, they cannot fly, the airlines are in trouble. Sure would be nice if they would check history, oh say in the 70's, when these same issues took place.
Blame the industries for the fact that people can't afford to fly instead of the real cause...it's the economy, for crying out loud!

Or do they know more than we given them credit for? Maybe this is just another slight of hand. Get the people all revved up about another government takeover so we're not paying attention to where the left hand is reaching, or what laws are being slipped into bills while were distracted.

We need to amp up our efforts to dig deep into this administration's corruption. We need to make 2 calls to our congressmen a day instead of one. We need to understand that the more the left whines about the fact-finding we are doing, the more scared they've become. I believe they know this administration is up to no good, but they're too proud and jaded to admit it.
If this were Bush, or any republican, talking about taking on yet another sector of the free market the left would be splayed out on the floor wailing like banshees.

Priced it for example using one of the travel sites....

Grand Rapids to upstate NY to visit family for Thanksgiving...$674 per ticket!!!!!!

Detroit to upstate NY is only $589 per ticket!!!

We can get back and forth for less than $500 in gas BOTH WAYS!

Gee... mini van for 12 hours or 5 hours in airports with minors.. dealing with crowds and possible lost luggage.. and then most likely a rental car on top of that...

Gee, I just wonder why the airlines are failing!

I believe you are correct, Dingo. This administration has created more "crises" in 11 months than any administration in my memory. The crises only serve as a distraction for what else they are doing. Most of the time, I am ignoring the "crises" de jour and checking for the slight of hand. I just find it laughable that DC, Lansing, and now GR feel the way out of this stuff is to tax the crap out of the people.
You are spot on about the left's reaction of the right were to be pulling these stunts as well.

Never put my kids on a plain for a vacation, always drove, got a little nutty sometime, but could never imagine doing it anyother way.

To top it off, then you would probably a) rent a car for transportation b) rely on someone else for transportation.
