When are the questions surrounding the elements in this going to be addressed? How did this girl's brother shoot himself 2 times with a shot gun? Why did the first ivestigation cover up obvious questions? Why did judge O'Connor try to dismiss this case?
When is the Logan County Sheriff'd department going to be investigated for years of cover ups and corruption?

where is the jusice in logan county why? is things being covered up. this is bad for the county the law is expected to help others not hurt others.i think if hes guilty he should be treated like others.

Ohio's legal system is a joke. It serves only to enrich police officers, lawyers, and judges. There is no justice.

He did not shoot himself with a shotgun......it was a .22

He is in touble for having oral sex with the shooter's sister, the only survivor. Because Ohio does not specify police officers as it does teachers and coaches, he cannot be charged with a felony. He investigated the case and then corrupted the victim. He should be punished to the fullest. He has dated young girls in the past and gotten away with it. Shame on you Jon Stout.

I lived in Ohio for fifteen years, and I knew Scott(I knew Stacey better, because we went to 4h camp together). But I haven't been there in a while, and I was wandering whats been going on up there. From here I only get the news reports and rumors from old friends. So, did he do it or not?

I believe this case is a joke you have a police officer that did the worse thing ever he should be sent away just like anyone else that commits a crime agasint a child i think bellefontaine covers up for there own and they should be ashamed

The justice system in Bellefontaine seems to be controlled by the "good old boys club." Some of my family lives there. My mother would write stories to the paper concerning the Moody/Stout story. My mother died last fall and my brother is under investigation in regards to her death. Parents could not get the grown "parasite" kid to leave. Brother is now still living with my Dad is was found incompetent and brother is exploiting my Dad. We can't seem to get the justice system there moving very fast to help my Dad and get my brother out of the house, even though my sister was given POA in their legal papers and has filed for guardianship. Everything seems to be going "villian" brother's way. I heard once, "if you want to commit a crime and not get caught, go to Logan Count." Anyone having any inside information about how to "break" this circle of corruption up there, please post. I want to call Dateline. Thanks.

Logan County seems like a nice place to live to me.

You all seem to be interested in what is fair and just. Anyone familiar with "Due process of law"? Or the principal that one man can not be convicted solely on the word of another (without the presence of EVIDENCE). Of course, that may not be nearly as interesting as a big fat conspiracy theory.

While sad if proven, what you call the "worse thing ever" is a misdemeanor by statute if committed by any non parental adult, no matter the age.
