Think before you type and stop using heroine, you make no sense when typing when high on that stuff.... What was I called out on in the highly intelligent [sic] Van Wert forum? The fact that you've had a 4 lane highway through there for 50 years now and the only have a Wal Mart to show for it? . What was I wrong about Covington GA? The fact they are getting 1,500 jobs at 60k per year???? The fact that Covington is also Sparta from In the Heat of the Night??? The fact Covington has the top high school basketball prospect in the nation? . Ok..... I'm ready to be CALLED OUT by a dumbass from Van Wert..... Fact is all those things are true and Van Wert has a, ummmmm Wal Mart to be proud of......... highly envious of that Wal Mart is Covington, I'm sure..... You're such a bunch of losers. . What else do I need to prove??? Ohio had 26 electoral votes at one time????? Ohio now has 18 electoral votes.... Down 31%.... Georgia has 16 and guaranteed to go around yall come next census... Nobody denying it... . Crimony, Florida has doubled up on Ohio at 36 electoral votes..... Ohio used to be the heart of it all.... More like the poop treatment plant of it all now..... Oh by the way that was just EFFING brilliant of Van Wert to put their poop treatment facility right at the entrance of town next to the big 4 lane highway..... Just the absolute EFFING height of intelligence there.....

There's usually a back up somewhere when some Liberal fool can't drive safely and there are gawkers. The Sidney Troll Booth at the Great Miami River bridge usually has traffic backed up, but they let vehicles with Georgia tags pass-thru ;-) Who knew ? Will be in N. Knoxville today to mow 7 acres of in-law's yard. The Hoge's or The WAY don't own everything, but they tried. I'm interacting with a local yokel politico who's involved with saving the old RR depot, and I can understand why small towns like Sidney can't attract a solid economic base, let alone manufacturing jobs. Portman and Kasich are pragmatic economic management that Ohio needs desparately. Liberals don't understand where economic development comes from. Not the printing press of the Treasury. <quoted text> . I heard it might be a little wet for mowing Thursday... . Anyway, I hope the depot works out. If you need a reference for what to do with a depot, here's a good example. Its been turned into a restaurant/bar that's not too far from where I live at and whenever I have folks down from Ohio, I usually take them here to eat. The link shows some pictures of the interior. The exterior is nice too plus the location in the downtown area is key. Woodstock is a small old town but the location is still pretty vibrant. http://www.urbanspoon.com/m/r/9/1630035 . I'll see if I can figure out the location of your depot in Sidney from the satellite pics.

The depot is off Chestnut ave. CSX wants the RR group to move the structure at least 50' away from the track as a clear right-of-way or they will demo once the group stops paying rent for the building. I like the restaurant angle.... The group wants to preserve the depot and doesn't want to stir up CSX who is indifferent to the structure. The RR group said it'd cost $500k to relocate it, which they don't have and to me, would be throwing good money after bad.. Because they have the old blueprint, they might be better off building a replica downtown and house a mini county RR museum. Better security and less vandalism. and let CSX front the demo costs. But to no avail. They want to remain quiet and off CSX radar. I wonder if CSX has a mandate to clear out building inventory for tax and liability purposes as well as right of way ? Had a good day. That's alot of yard to mow, even with a 48" Dixon. I'm part, cooked lobster ....:-( Kennesaw71 wrote: <quoted text> . I heard it might be a little wet for mowing Thursday... . You're welcome to take a quick mini tour of Sidney if you have time. Check out the depot location, Big Four Bridge, the old courthouse, Monument Building with the Union soldier guarding the upper arch, the Bonneyconnellan Castle and The Spot Restaurant (formerly owned by actors Rob & Chad Lowe's grandpa). When Rob would visit his grandparents in Sidney, he'd book an extra seat next to him for the return flight back to LA just for the excellent pies. Expensive dough. Bush stopped in during a campaign swing and ate there. Had the Bush Burger named after him. Woo Hoo ! And Paul Lauterbur (sic), co-inventor of the MRI was from Sidney.

kennesaw the study was done under the same pretenses as other studies in this nation. for political gain. the reality of everything is , WE DONT HAVE A REAL NUMBER. whats a dollar worth? is it two cheeseburgers? is it half a cheeseburger? is it 3 percent less of the cheeseburger next year? is it 30 percent less of the cheeseburger than last yeaR? without having a real basis on what a dollar is worth, TO THE WORKING CLASS, we have no basis on what should be done TO THE WORKING CLASS. the rich will continue to get richer, the poor will continue to get poorer, until SOMEONE knows a little more than trumped up , propogated numbers. i done said they could make it on less, so "soak the rich", really? lol. when you totally disregard everything on lobbyists, etc, idk what to tell you. i know what the 9 9 9 thing is bud. ive looked into it WAY before you were spouting your nonsense. because just like everyone else , i thought 27 percent total tax sounds AWESOME. until i got to actually paying attention to what is going on around me. then it became obvious that 27 percent, 43 percent, whatever, is a drop in the bucket. throw in all the people with all the credits, all the companies with all the credits, and 9 9 9 is just a magic number. so , what, you dont think the majority of our taxes are in hidden fees, hidden subsidies? what planet are you from? or is just a total disregard because it throws a major wrench in your "plan"? i could care less if you agree with me. in fact, i would prefer you to argue my points rather than beat the dead horse and tell me basic information i already understand. 27+20 is still 47. or did you forget that basic math? and what is with you and manufacturing? lol. do you have any idea what our worldview is and what it SHOULD BE? good lord, i told you how that all works. and yet you act like i dont have a clue. its funny how the same people who want to dog the welfare system are the ones who scream and rant rather than retrain and accept.

don, an acceptable plan for bold change would be to get the entire govt off of the teet. without getting off our social issues high horses, there will be no bold change. 9 9 9 is a magic number because it tries to change everything about our way of life without changing the social input structure i am bringing up. as long as you pay more to produce babies than jobs, as long as you pay more to police yourself than an actual criminal, as long as we worry more about if an abortion is allowed in general then when it is ethical and acceptable, how are you gonna quit throwing money away? the problems with our tax code are not the tax code itself. its us.

see don, i would expect more from you, as you said you "saw the writing on the wall" in the 50s. i can only assume you meant you saw the problems attributed to moving from a business based tax program to a social based tax program. disregarding the point alone totally castrates the entire thing, even if its 1 1 1 . it leads to more hidden fees, more hidden subsidies and less transparency in govt than there already is. these people are NOT taking less and we are stupid to pretend as they are.

I think that'd probably do my BP good after getting through Dayton to stop off for the nickel tour. The gps should get me to chestnut st without much hassle. I should be there before noon sometime. Yup, first week of just like the almanac says.:) . I noticed our local tile mill (in Ohio) is raising the price of 4 inch by 3 cents per foot. Despite the price of crude dropping lately.

It's 10:35 am. I'm at the old depot in Sidney.. I didn't expect the building to be brick. I have serious doubts the building can be moved. This would be an awesome restaurant/bar but I kinda have pessimism in regard to location. For it to make it, I think they'd have to have something they'd be famous for. One of those kind of niches. . This will take some thinking.

Cincy had 3.67 gas. Back in Sidney $ 3.81. Geesh. kennesaw71: Glad you stopped by. Was looking for you next week. Relocating would be a challenge as well as keeping it on-site by convincing CSX. It's a tight lot. Palletizing a deconstruction and rebuild off site would be do-able, but need a feasibility study and tight strategy. Will meet if you want.
