Was there some point to this article? All I got out of it was that the author doesn't believe global warming is real, and he thinks witches are too thin-skinned (although he didn't learn much about them, since he refers to "witches and warlocks").

Well, that's 3 minutes I'll never get back.

Sounds like he's been watching too much "Bewitched."

Ya know, I can understand rich industrialists believing that global warming is a left wing conspiracy, much the way smokers look at the cancer warnings on cigarettes... because they have a vested interest in the position. What I don't understand is why the average right wing guy on the street has bought into it so readily (and your welcome for not calling him "Joe 6 pack" or "Joe The Plumber" both terms having gone way beyond the definition of trite). I consider myself a moderate independent so I can pick and choose my issues from each party. It irritates me that there are so many people that allow Rush Limbaugh to dictate their minds reality filters to them. I've met so many people who just parrot that blowhard tub of lard, even to the point of using the terms "drive by media" and "Algore". It's like, first they decide to be a republican, then they go out and find out from Rush which issues they're supposed to support and what their stance on those issues is supposed to be. I have my reasons why I'm no longer a democrat, but one of the main reasons I'm not a republican is that they're all a bunch of lemmings. Anyway... I think I just went kinda Rosanne Rossanadana on you. This is Clark W. Griswold signing off and thank you very much for listening.

Rosanne Rosanadana? Now there is a blast from the past. You're showing your age there Clark. I agree with your post. At one time or another I have belonged to both parties. I'm an Independent now.

I too am registered as Independent. Only problem with that is I can't vote in the specific primaries.

It's just like my aunt Pamela Ann Rosanadana used to say, it's always something... either you're a liberal sissy that panders to any group that starts shouting to loud and hurting your ears, or you're a conservative right wing nut job that wants to make us all go to church and carry handguns. You know, that reminds me, I ran into that Pat Robertson guy the other day. He was doing some kind of demonstration at the village hall because they didn't want to put up the manger scene out on the lawn anymore at Christmas. So he comes up to me and says, "Hey, you, Rosanne Rosanadana, get over her and grab a sign and start demonstrating for Jesus." So I look over at him and I see he has this huge bugger hanging right out of his left nostril, and it was kind of stuck on his nose hairs and was flapping in the breeze every time he breathed. So I look over at him and I yelled, "Hey Churchboy, you got a bugger hanging out of your nose." So real quick like he takes the sleeve of his shirt and wipes his nose with it. I thought I was gonna be sick. It just goes to show you... if you're old enough to remember Bewitched and Rosanne Rosanadana you should stay out of politics or have to watch an old fossil TV evangelist wipe buggers on his shirt.

What I do is register for the party I'm most displeased with at the time and then then vote for whoever I feel is the weakest candidate.

I'm wondering who judged this as spam? Hmmm
Well I'm now having negative experiences with someone on my local thread. Alas, the world is full of strange people.

Good One!!
Most of the time I do vote democrat with a few exceptions. I did vote for Guiliani in NYC because I felt he was the better candidate. And I regularly vote for our local republican Senator because I feel he's been doing a good job.
We actually have a local City Council representative running who's an "out of the broom closet" Pagan (I believe he's Asatru). But I'm not voting for him because I disagree with most of the things he stands for. His name is Dan Halloran http://www.danhalloran.org/

Why is this posted on the Kenosha News page?

If someone thinks their a witch or whatever, good for them. I don't think schools are 'celebrating' or mocking the wiccans so they shouldn't be offended. The term comes from 'all hallows eve' with Celtic origins and really has nothing to do with wiccans.

If you are a witch, you should lighten up. People goof on everyone and everything for halloween. You're not being singles out. Every year the top selling masks include the current and past presidents. As someone who has had relatives who have died, I don't feel offended by folks dressing up like dead people. Now maybe the dead folks themselves are offended, but I have yet to hear from them.

It is posted on the Kenosha news page because the Midwest Association of Witches has decided to relocate to Kenosha starting late this year. Right now the main concern is infiltrating the school board so that Wicca can begin to be taught in public schools by the time the 350,000 members make the move.

So... you say you've had relatives that have died? How unique!

Now why not have the Halloween celebrations (which have become a celebration of sugar overload), and for use the "ugly witch" image as a tool for teaching about stereotypes, discrimination, and (for older kids, of course) the Burning Times? Instead of banning it, let's use it as a means to educate.

I know. There are very few of us left these days. I had to do an extensive google search to find other people in the same boat. The nearest support group is in Sheboygan.

Well good luck to you. I hope you all find peace. And for christs sake stay the hell out of Sheboygan if you know what's good for you.

Sheboygan? Isn't that one of the primary starting points for the Zombie Apocolypse? After Evans City PA, of course.

Yes it's in that general area. When I was a kid my family once stopped at a Big Boy in Sheboygan while passing through on vacation. Ended up the entire restaurant was run by Zombies. Sheboygan Zombies are particularly slow, so we all got out safe, except for my younger brother... he got stuck in his booster chair and they ate him. That was it for me. I'll never go back to Sheboygan.
