Looking at this vote breakdown compared to their votes on terminating makes me curious about why McDowell changed his mind.Where's the integrity. Also wonder about attendance of council. I heard some are absent frequently. Shouldn't attendance be mandatory? Looks like one in particular just came to the special meeting to vote his friend back in. And one new member was absent from this special meeting. If there's voting on a serious topic I think all should be required to attend.

have you ever though that the reason alot of them dont attend meetings,is they know certain ones are going to get what they want and they dont care what the others think....to much good ol boy mentality in this town.

Sounds like they were smart enough to realize Barry was likely kept in the dark about all the allegations and they righted their wrong by hiring him back.

Doesn't mean he isn't guilty o ly that Tate will try anything to excuse himself from his misgivings and he is still being investigated not to mention other things may come to light. Wouldn't surprise me him breaking and entering to tamper before its over to hide other misgivings.Watch him close.

Alot of you people act like this is the first time there has been corruption in a small town, truth is its everywhere all the time. Yeah so what Tate got caught up in some shit he shouldn't have done, if you would look at the big picture it starts at the state level and just trickles down. I am 40 years old and can remember the days of Flake McHaney and when Sokoloff first got his job, there has been ALOT happen that has never been spoke of, but as soon as someone loses their position it gets hammered on to hell and back. I'm not sayin Tate didn't have it coming but damn people if your going to voice your opinion on here then go vote make a damn difference, it's easy to get on this web page and bitch but ya never hear people saying anything at the polls when people are Runnin for office. Yeah Tate's position is appointed but how many of you went to a council member and voiced your opinion? Probably none, it's easier to get on here and whine like bitches. If you think there is corruption someplace document it build a case then present it, well that's probably too much work for most people, but if you feel strongly enough about an issue that's what you'll do.

Thanx for that enlightening speech. And you know also that public opinion, publicity, media, and talking about the facts in general get problem recognized, in the public eye, on the table so the guilty can't hide it and those with power and ability to change things have to deal with it. The way demacracy is suppose tnite work. Empowered people representing those who put them there and dealing with concerns of the public VOICED by the public not hiding them. Just a way to let them know public is NT happy but are watching and do know. It also brings it to attention of some that may not knowvall the facts but have power to investigate and deal with it although there are those like yourself who would silence the public. So before you decide free speech isn't a right of the public pick a side instead of trying to appear to care wile quashing public opinion. JUDAS

JUDAS Wow shows how much attention you pay to what is read, never did I "quash" public opinion I simply said that if your going to bitch about it on here then make a diffence and vote. Pull that diplomatic stick from your ass and see the big picture you pompous ass-there is corruption all over.

Your the one lashing out calling people whining bitches for publicly discussing problems needing dealt with. No other assumption could be made from your post. Most people probably do vote as I do and I also frequent council meetings contrary to assumption you have made. This is just another way to keep others informed and interest up. Not to mention a way to let council depts and all others we are malcontent over these issues. Try being a little more civilized and you will be treated as,such. What's bad is I am guessing you are one of those public servants with chip on shoulder about this. One thing for sure this is a food way to pull some of the bad stitching out of that thin blue line. You were one got all bent out of shape about the discussion that was going just fine. Badge don't carry no weight when you can't flash it, huh?
