Please place your vote and lets get it passed. There may be a better option for us than prescription drugs. It's up for vote this year, so do your part in getting it passed. Thank You and God Bless

I will vote for it even though I wouldn't need it just to take back one more peice of authority away from the establishment since the only beef they have is revenue under the pretense of protecting the public. Til we start taking back our rights they will keep taking them. Guns are next if we don't stand for freedom the government will take it. Thomas Jefferson said upon writing the declaration of independence"if the people can keep the government from taking this" What insight for him to forsee this and what integrity for him to stand for freedom above the very government he was in the process of helping create. "Give me liberty or give me death." Let us make the government by the people and for the people again and it leadership servants and not dictators and tyrants.

Only after prohibition and the implementation of taxation on alcohol did marijuana become an issue. Throughout history it has been used medically and recreationally without adverse effect. After governmental involvement and subsequent poisoning of crops by the same is the only time in history did it effect health, safety, or the economy. Sounds like government control and greed is the problem and the economic collapses greatest contributer under the false pretense of protecting the public when in fact tthey are only interested in taxation and favoritism to large corporations

Even if it passes the feds will shut it down. California has had medical pot for years and the past year the feds have an all out program to shut it down. Including tax disincentives making it impossible to make a profit plus the criminal penalties. As long as the feds make pot a criminal offense state legalization is meaningless and likely to lull you into thinking you are safe, right up until you end up in a federal pen because of it.

It isn't a question of if it will pass; rather, it is a question of when will it pass.

Elle I agree 100% & to My Two Cents you apparently have never smoked or you would realize what it does. Also it has so many great medicinal purposes that have fewer side effects than many RX meds. Do you ever hear of anyone fighting while smoking? I can't believe that alcohol is legal but pot isn't . Makes absolutely no sense!! Can't wait until it becomes legalized!

Seems to stand to reason that pot has fewer damaging side effects, grown more easily, and highly desirable. If legalized, and this is same reason it was made illegal, the government couldn't use billions ob their irradication programs and the cartels wouldn't be in the market nor able to make high profits. Both want it to stay illegal for revenues sake. Nothing else. If legalized much funding would be redirected away from certain programs and a lot of govt enforcement people would no longer be needed. Doesn't take a roket scientist to figure it out. All that drug abuse rhetoric put out by government and enforcement organizations is just that rhetoric designed to further an agenda of revenue and propoganda to shut down any opposition.

They need to legalize it and use those programs to fight welfare and medical fraud and the would be creating revenue and helping the truly needy but then again they would be attacking the rich and creating an answer that works not bleeding the system.

As a chronic pain patient , There are many side effects that make me incredibly sick including kidney failure that prevents me from being able to take PRESCRIPTION medications so I have to just live in severe pain. If I had access to legal Marijuana there are so many good benefits that out way the bad it would improve my quality of life greatly. So if it's made legal it won't interfere with those applying for welfare. I'm not currently on wel-fare but after 20 years of working at a great job making 50k a year I b/c disabled d/t health problems so there was a time about a year in which I had to get on Medicaid until I was able to disability going. I would give anything not to have the Health Problems that I do & I had to take huge pay cut to be on disability. I realize there are a lot of people who abuse the system but don't be so judgmental b/c you too may be walking in my shoes some day. But back to the comment Marijuana is an all natural product & I would rather use it than put all those horrible chemicals in my body from man made Pharmaceuticals!!!

What a lowsy uneducated point you just made. So your telling me of the thousands of citizens getting assistance not any of them have a prescription pain killer such as hydro's, percocets, or oxycodone. Which are a hell of alot more addictive and harmful the marijuana. You will have to be approved by a Dr. before receiving marijuana, so please think about the point your trying to make before typing it because you come across as unknowledgeable. Thank You and God Bless!!!

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Scorpio

You're in the mood to spend money on a favourite hobby or pastime today, so take care if you're supposed to making every penny count at the moment. The temptation to treat yourself to something that you'll undoubtedly enjoy will be too strong to resist, and the trouble is that you might not restrict yourself to just one item either. It looks like being an extravagant day!
