Precarious refuges for Cecil County homeless

it bugs me to see homeless people smoking cigarettes. i'm glad i don't smoke, i don't think i could afford too!!

oh and....he looks better than most of the people at my local fast food place, get a job and put down the vodka like the rest of us.

put in his name. he has a criminal past. it's sad he didn't get help years ago to make his life go in a different direction.

if you look at all his criminal past it makes you wonder what happened to all those addresses he once had?

So , it only bugs u when homeless ppl. smoke? Not every person when they light up that nasty cig.So they can smoke? Not homeless ppl. My ex- hubby is homeless. I threw him out 9 years ago and he has been homeless ever sense. Wanna hear something else that would make u sick? Do u know how most get there cigs? They find 1/2 smoked butts olong the road or in ash trays outside of buissness. He carries a bag of filthy steanky butts, its so nasty. I hope that he will 1 day try 2 get a job and take care financally of our children but I dont c that happening. He just got stabbed in the back and his head the other day, I worry about his safty, but there is nothing that I can do I have done enough for him its time that he do something for himselfe.

With the crash of the real estate market housing should become more affordible...and that guy can also get a second job...or mabye his wife can work when he isnt.

The Havre de Grace marina owned by the cuty is also used by the homeless...they use an old sailboat and live for 1300 a year.

CS grocers...is the supplier to giant foods...a&p...safeway...ma rtins...and others...11 dollars for an auditer...wow....i drove a truck as an independent for a trucking co that was exclusive to them....I made plenty of money...

I have looked over these stipid comments.Why dont you sleep under the Baker bridge in freezing temps while your hungry becouse you couldnt find food in the dumpster.employers wont hire homeless,most of them are disabled or very ill.the public has no idea of the hardships of the homeless.do you know how many of our local homeless has died becouse society has failed them.
Most recently,Nov.11-08In the Marina park.On Sundays we have fead over 50 faithfuly for over a year now here in good old Elkton.Please join with me to help end Cecil Countys homeless delima.Keep in mind most of the people we serve can not get into local shelters.I PRAY GOD BLESS ALL WHO SHOW COMPASSION FOR THE LESS FORTUNATE

I'm from Kentucky you mean to tell me no one but you feed all of these people.Thats A SHAME FOUR THE LOCAL OFFICIAL.Thats just WRONG.God bless the ones that help you.

This is so true, my ex-hubby was probably there. When I lived in Elkton I passed out food and blankets to the homeless. Most were my ex's friends. They try 2 hang out at the mall and help ppl. with their bags to there car to get some money but they would just get scared and call the cops. My ex cant even go to the mall anymore or he will go 2 jail. He has bipolor and has trouble holding a job. People just see them as dirty homeless ppl. but like u said they r ppl. who have problems and there is no 1 that will help them. Right now he got approved for 2 weeks at a motel which will help him now but what will happen after he leaves there? We dont know.

i heard someone died in marina park.but i did'nt know if it was true.so sorry for all that is homeless. if people had a heart instead of running their mouth maybe we could help.

Sad to say unfortenatly I had got the call about Pop early morning 11-8-o8 from someone who helped take care of him.He had been ill for some time,we submitted applications for housing only to be denied perhaps if he had housing this would have never happend.

I am so sorry for your loss. i have a brother that is homeless. he stayed a marina park also.
i have tried to help him many times. but it is the same thing everytime i try. i do not know what to do anymore. every time i hear they found a body it scares me to death.

Mabye I wasnt clear...I was trying to say that CS wholesale should pay a decent wage instead of cooly wages for its employees. An auditer at CS is an oversight position for loss controll...11 dollars an hour is chicken shit for that job.

The reason c&s exists is because giant and those others mentioned dont have to use their own high dollar labor.
