Okay I wanted to share my input on about this. And some people may not feel like I would towards this or some will. Maine is currently trying to having voting on gay marriage. The funny thing is they show it on tv saying it will ruin education in school. That children of Maine will ask questions about it. Okay here's what I'm gonna say about this. I know they teach sex ed in school and now they're teaching it at a younger age. When I was growing up in school they taught us about the sexs, but schools don't teach anything about straight or gay marriage. They just teach about the human body. I think this whole intire vote thing has nothing to do with the education of Maine. I believe the only thing that this whole intire thing will bring is discrimnation. I see it as okay parents don't want gay marriage around their children but they rather have discrimnation. Americans are not like that. We have laws on this stuff. Again, I must repeat education has never taught marriage in Maine schools. That's the teachers choice on what should be taught or not.

First off, let me say that I agree with you 100%.

"...they show it on tv saying it will ruin education..."

Yet the state's attorney general stated emphatically that this was not true. So, why did they say it on T.V.? Because it worked in California! They have no shame in lying.

They didn't teach it to me and they didn't teach it to my recently graduated teens.

The discrimination was already in place, Maine just failed to correct it!

"Americans are not like that".

Unfortunately, on November 3rd, Maine showed us that they ARE!

Hatred and lies are overtaking this country as they look for a new minority to discriminate against. There are organizations which raise millions of dollars to fight laws to protect the LGBT from job and housing protection laws. Why? Will they not be satisfied until all gays and lesbians are left unemployed and homeless? Is that what their religion teaches them?

How can anyone look at themselves in the mirror and proudly say, "Today, I stripped a small group of taxpaying citizens, whom I don't even know, of their Constitutional rights. I deprived them of the same benefits that I take for granted."?

For the 53% of Maine that voted YES, I am ashamed of you and you should be ashamed of yourselves!
