Small towns, big booms

I would like to see growth in my home town of Columbus. Does anybody still live there?

We really need housing to become more available. The prices are skyrocketing and pricing everyone out.

People are coming to towns, living in their cars, trying to camp... and winter coming on. Not to mention those who have lived here all their lives and seeing simple rents and sales being taking right out of their grasp.

I love the man camps that some companies are using, and giving housing to employees as part of their payment packages. Some of them are so-so, some are amazing, like

What I really hope is that a boom is over, people have planned for what they will do to recover from it. It will be a huge change in every way. I hope the towns can figure out ways to utilize the boom to their advantage, and come out on the other side better off.

My husband and I are trying to make arrangements to relocate to the Williston, New Town area. Although we have been able to find employment in the area we are still unable to find housing that is close enough and adequate for the two of us, have been unable to actually speak to any local residents to determine the best avenue to take (other than one out of the area!lol)in pursuing this relocation..any tips ? hoping to be a help in the communities and not a hinderance.
