To those of you who knew Nick or wish to express a message of sympathy to the family or share a memory without having to debate the war or subject yourselves to juvenile name calling and belittling of others' beliefs, www.hitefuneralhome.com My heart would break again for the family of this special young man if they knew the news story of their son's death led to these postings. This is not the place for this. What ever happened to basic human decency?

I would like to thank God for this young man that gave his life so all Americans can have the freedoms they have.I pray for his family that Jesus will comfortthem and give them peace in their hearts. I had a grandaughter over there when the war first started. She made it home safe and I am very thankfull to our Lord for it. Your son was a very brave young man and this country needs a lot more like him. May God bless you all.

That said, you're supposition of increased risk is not supported by the facts. Spain supports the war. They get 191 dead and over 2000 wounded in the Madrid Train bombings. Britian supports the war and they get 52 killed and over 700 wounded in London. France stays out of the war, has a large Muslim population and they get zero killed, zero wounded.
Please go to the Frontline website and watch the documentaries on Iraq. It's a bigger mess than you or I could ever imagine. France was giving money and weapons to iraq in exchange for cheaper oil. thats why they are pissed, and why no one attacked them. but waht about all the minority riots and unemployed and homeless muslims in paris? they havent had any massive terrorist attacks because they keep the muslims there feeling like scum. it isnt right. we are all equal, so why shouldnt the innocent people in iraq be allowed to protest without being shot at or gassed. that was happening everyday with the Hussein, and they were using french bought weapons. jerk.

Perhaps it takes a fragmented body returned in a crate to bring these pig-ignorant cretins to their senses. Yet, maybe not. Basking in the perceived reflected glory of their "hero" might well be the next ridiculous delusion.
