This is the kind of stuff that the borugh is working on thanks to the people on council. If burlew has his way he will build a halfway house out there and rent merla some space for another bar so they can line their pockets with more keyport cash. Solar to Keyport- great news but should bring out the old cavemen with the flaming torches and pitchforks against progress as usual!

The days of crooked politicians running Keyport and lining their pockets with the money of the townsfold while they smile is over. This seems like a positive move for Keyport. I hope everyone forgets about partisan voting and simply votes for the candidate that will best help Keyport.

The best candidates are those that work hard to help the town progress. If Keyport gets it right then it wont be Burlew if they get it wrong then they get what they deserve

This will never happen in our life time first off keyport does not own this property that is part of the legal issues. 2nd there are many small business that rent that land and you can not just kick them out over an eye sore.
In the end it's just another way for the higher power trying to make money and telling the people ( it will be good for the town ) but I don't think taking away jobs to put more people in a already tight and busy area will help anyone. The people of keyport don't realy care about this land it doesn't hold a candle to the real issues of keyport. It's all about location and this peace of land is good realestate for the higher ups to make some cash.

Ok, chiming in. First are you kidding me. What is a higher up. Are you measuring these people as being above you on a social class scale. I graduated school in Keyport not that long ago. The town has actually imporved quite a bit over the years. NJ, I am telling you. thru the years I have lived in about 7 states and numerous towns. Corruption, you have not seen corruption. i have seen blacks literally living on the opposite side of the tracks. My wife was a collection agent who was arrested by a cop for trying to collect a Debt. The best candidate for keyport is the candidate the people vote in. BTW if you are interested, austrilia has a policy where if you do not like their way of live or their religion,LEAVE. I wish more people would adopt that ourlook. Oh well, I still miss the chicken shack, Taylor ham and sneaking out of 200 broad street. LOL.

Bored Marine, you're talking about the abolishment of "Politcal Correctness". You know that time tested policy of telling people the truth and how things actually are. The very thing Americans have forgotten how to do because they are afraid of looking into someone's eye's and telling them, "You know, I really don't like you"! It's a lost art that really needs to find it's footing again. There is simply nothing wrong with telling someone, in a constructive way, that the pants they are wearing does not flatter them. Now if you remove "Poltical Correctness" from our day to day lives things can get done. Fear of having someone, not like you, is a cowardly life indeed.

Before anyone takes offense, I was not talking about anyone specifically. I was talking in general terms about being open and honest in a constructive, none hurting way. If you don't like something, speak up! If someone offends you, tell them. Grow a set! You can be honest and at the same time be diplomatic about the content of your words. Not liking something and not saying something about it is counter productive.

It is my understanding they will turn the area into a bear preserve, to hopefully keep them out of the park.

Dave-well put. kinda funny you go into a PC rant. To many people worry about being PC. I currently reside in Cali, talk about PC. Nope not my way of life. I am from Jersey, I say how I feel and I do not care about hurting feelings. I do get invited to alot of parties, simply so people can get a good laugh. But, you are correct. We need to move past all this Positive REinforcement crap, beat your kids if they screw up. Do not be afraid to turn someone in for breaking the law simply bacause you went to school with them. Hold people accountable. they will make a big difference in society.

The fine line you describe has always been a matter of controversy. A great example is how the media is dealing with this Fort Hood shooting incident. The main suspect is a Muslim American who apparently went over the edge and is now siding with the crazy Gihadist. Most of the major news agencies are treading on egg shells refusing to say the words terrorist and muslim in the same sentence because they're afraid of insulting good muslims. One news program commented on the lack of backbone these journalist show and basically said the same thing. It's not insulting to a whole religious group to single one person out. If they are insulted it's because the current leaders are using the Political Correctness for their benefit. I know this was long winded but the comparison was amazing to the stuff we were talking about.

I totally agree, muslim or not. He created and caused Terror. Not to mention that he shot up a locale where a soldier goes to recieve help. My point of view and only mine is simple. He did this to create fear. He chose his location so a soldier looking for help from a psycologist would now question even more; his willingness to enter such a place. I have over 16 years of experiance in the armed forces. I have fought the war on terror, or what ever we are calling it now. I do not require any gratitude. I do this because I am still phyically capable. Some of us think that Terrorist are defined by todays perspectives. Terror has been in our country since the beginning. This Soldier defined his role in American society. I was the guy on Spetember 11th, who put on my full dress blues and walked out in public. On September 12th. My family was sweeping up ashes and moving on with our lives. Everytime we allow an incident like this to affect the epp and flow of our daily lifes, they have won. I greive for those lifes lost that day. I want justice for the families of the fallen. But, wether here or abroad. They gave there lives in defense of their countries. GOD BLESS AMERICA. yup i said god. Sorry, I was longer winded. But i am blogging.

I'm the least religious person I know. I'm not a bad person I just don't find comfort in religion, but "God Bless America" is fine with me and always should be. It's not an insult to anyone, nor should anyone look badly on us for saying it. Political correctness is over. Now for the aeromarine land. We'll watch this issue closely and make sure that all parties involved do it specifically for the benefit of the residents it affects. Any sign of inpropriety will be met with swift results. Remember, everyone is awake and watching now.

A loved one is very assertive under the Full Moon tonight. You'll only make it worse if you come down like a ton of bricks, given that Mars is retrograde and it's a lunar eclipse tonight. Besides, do you really want to spoil this evening's celebrations because you've had a flaming row? If possible, live and let live, so you can have a really happy New Year!
