Then get rid of all government-sponsored health care including the VA, Tricare, Medicare, Medicaid and that for government employees including the PResident, the SC, Congress and the military.

Put EVERYONE into the private, individual insurance market.

That'll show them.

"But that wasn't sitting well with people like William McEachen, whose 40-year-old disabled daughter has struggled for years to obtain coverage for extensive medical needs.

Holding a sign declaring "I want a public option," on a busy street corner in Overland Park, Kansas, McEachen joined Cook, Phipps and others to give Brownback's office a petition urging the senator to get behind the government-run option.

"What we want is the same kind of plan Senator Brownback and his family enjoy paid for by the U.S. taxpayer," said Phipps, who said his marketing company's insurance premiums have jumped more than 20 percent in the last year alone.

Cook, who said she is struggling to pay for health insurance and save to put a child through college, said a public option that would counter rising premiums and insure access for all was imperative."

Once I lived in Russia. The Soviet Union had a national free health care for all. Believe me you don't want it. the system was and still is very backward as compared to that in America. The Russian doctors are of overburdened with patients and have to relay on no good equipment. Most of the equipment for test or xray or for imaging are things that the American health system has junked in the 70 or 80s. Although the doctors in Russia are very good. They are hampered by budget matters. So think twice about health reform here

That was then, this is now. Now the US health care system is backward. We now have the health care system of a banana republic.

It is corrupt, massively over priced and under performing. We rank 36th in the world for results but first for cost.

That isn't health care, it is corruption.

No it isn't. I have health insurance. I don't have to wait to see a doctor. Also because I have health insurance I can receive any test that my doctor deems necessary. Also treatment is not rationed here as it is in Russia. If I need treatment I don't have to wait in line for it nor do I have to worry that that treatment is not available to me in America. The United States has the best imaging equipment in the world. The finest research institutions are in America. Also in the field of cancer research as well as in transplant and vascular surgery the United States is the leader and one of the leaders in many other fields. If you have insurance no medical treatment is denied in this country. Also many hospitals in this country have what is called charity treatment for those who qualify. There is no reason to wreck a system that works good for most people. You really don't want to go the Russian way or other public health systems. The truth is in Russia cancer often is detected too late because of bad test or bad equipment and odds are that best treatment is not available. Russia can't get best equipment because of limited money that government can afford to purchase it. Be sure what you want.

You don't understand. What the proponents of government health care want is something for nothing. They're not bright enough to realize that in order to get quality care, taxes will have to take 50%(at least) of their paychecks. Of course, many of those screaming for national health care don't HAVE a paycheck because they're too lazy to work. They're already mooching from the taxpayers and are just looking for one more way to pick our pockets. I'm glad I have good insurance because the lowlife moochers MAKE ME SICK.

Dear Retards,
When Wal-Mart comes to town it kills the small retailer, upon which many rely. If the gov is Wal-Mart and Bob's Hardware is...well, you get it.
Don't do it. You "free health care" losers will just raise the prices (MORE!!!) on those of us who work.
And NO, raising taxes on cigarettes to pay for the health care of people who are already old and smoke free is not an ethical solution, no matter how nice is makes you feel, f@g.

The US has the finest health care in the world. You get whatever level of care you are willing to pay for.

obama is deceiving the American public into believing they will get something for nothing.

obama refuses to reveal how much his health care plan will cost and how much the middle class will have to pay for it.

obama refuses to admit that government regulations have driven the cost of American health care up for the last 50 years. Now, obama wants to add even more government regulations and restrictions to health care.

obama refuses to separate health CARE from health INSURANCE in a deliberate attempt to disguise his real health care agenda.

obama is pushing for computerization of medical records. The Democrats just ordered the VA Hospitals to provide private medical records of veterans to Democratic Congressional snoops. Computerized records will become accessible to the Democratic Congress as soon as similar legislation is passed to spy on private medical records of the American public.

Daily Horoscope for November 23

Aquarius

You may be noticing the effects of Mars in Aquarius now, which will give you the extra strength you need to fight any battles. Unfortunately, Mars does not impart tact or diplomacy as one of his gifts, so try to think before you speak as much as possible. Legal issues can become thorny over the next month or so; employ strategy rather than brute strength to win the day.
