__________ CARUTHERSVILLE MAN SENTENCED TO 180 MONTHS ON FEDERAL FIREARMS CHARGES April 15, 2008 A Caruthersville, Missouri man was sentenced today for unlawful possession of a firearm, announced United States Attorney Catherine L. On August 28, 2007, law enforcement officers were interviewing a man in Pemiscot County, Missouri, who admitted that he had stolen two handguns from his grandfather's house in Pemiscot County, Missouri, and traded them to Marcedus Leech for some crack cocaine. The man also N:\CGlueck\KDS\Leech.pre.wpd 2 arranged for the purchase of another quantity of crack cocaine from Mr. Leech. At the appointed time and place, Mr. Leech appeared and sold the handgun and a quantity of crack cocaine to the man for $225. That is an awfully long sentence for a man that clearly has an addiction. If he were truly violent, there would have been more to his arrest. This is a case where I hope that treatment and the parole board do the right thing.

I don't know this dude personally but I DO know about addiction. Myself and a few of my friends are in the process of getting the word out in this area to the "Chain-of-Command" about addiction and it's consequences, and also spreading HOPE that there is a way OUT. My Prayers go out to ALL Alcoholics and Drug-Addicts...they have a dis-ease and are put in prison for it. The last rumor I read said that our own Government is behind getting most drugs smuggled into this country, and it's NOT just wacko's who believe this... PEACE to yawl ALL "...YAWL..." |
spare that garbage, preacher, its mind over matter baby, any habit can be kicked without medicine or therapy, just got to possess the willpower to better yourself, break those neuronets in your brain, and build new bridges, thats all it is, i'm living proof |

"What the Bleep Do We Know?" I recommend this read to anyone with substance abuse or simple bad habits to read this book. It goes through how the brain works, how to look at things differently, it covers religion, and quantum physics, basically it questions all of reality and guides you how to answer your own questions and solve your own problems. It really is a good book, don't judge it by the cover though, you would think it's anti-religion by the cover but really it isn't, but it isn't pro-religion. I don't know just read it and you will reach enlightenment

A disappointing read and even worse movie. The theories proposed are interesting, but, if you follow upon the qualifications of the so called experts they cite, the average fry guy at McD's is just as qualified to have an opinion on quantum physics.

If a man is too dangerous to own a firearm, he shouldn't be allowed out of prison. Otherwise, let him keep his guns. The Second Amendment is a right, not a privilege. |

Banned...to each their own I say...and BLESS you that it worked for you...BUT...The program I speak so highly of has helped B-I-L-L-I-O-N-S to recover,,,ROTFL...sorta like ole' Mc Donalds...not everyone likes them,,,but they feed more folks than taco-bell... While this book you speak of has undoubtedly helped you,(for which I KNOW you must be happy), AND I DO want to read it some day (sounds interesting), Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous WORKS!!! |
I'll tell ya what the bleep I know. That type of literature will confuse your mind, not help it. Satan does not just tempt with fruit, he also uses books, people and anything and everything. Some people do have tremendous will power and can recover without help; but some need A.A. and/or N.A. Robert you are right on. |
