"Crime free" is just a meaningless, liberal, feel-good description for any place that reduces the number of police/fire calls by a certain percentage. It's supposed to make the clueless feel better about their city. |

Actually, I've heard the program is a good one and also exists in Vacaville.
The apartment management has tasks like trimming hedges so the bad man can't hide in them; installing deadbolts that meet code; security lighting, etc. etc. The tenants get involved, too. |

The "Crime Free" program is a proactive program. There is nothing liberal about it. If you live in a "Crime Free" complex and you,your family or guests commit crime (drugs and violence) on or off the property you are evicted. Nothing liberal about that!

Crime-free only works if the apartment complex will participate. A certain property management company in Vacaville is managing three major complexes, none of these are certified. Why?
