I find that pressing 2 (which is most of the time) for english implies that english is a second lanuage.

I strongly believe that as a matter of courtesy there should be other languages available.

Whenever I can I choose or ask for another language. Usually Spanish, even though I don't know much, since neither Swedish, nor German, nor Russian are available.

I agree with Irina that it's good and common courtesy to offer other languages, but there should always be a default in the US to English. Sometimes the voice prompter asks me to press 1 for English, sometimes it's 2. In America, I don't really feel like I should be asked at all.

Over the years, there has been talk of making the state language in Florida and California, Spanish. I believe it's a compliation of those types of things that irritates Americans who were born & raised here and speak English. Plus the ongoing problems with illegals.

I don't deny anybody the opportunity to earn a living and live where they can be happy & Safe. But there is a reason why those individuals are called "Illegals". If you want to be here, go through the process, become "Legal", learn the language of the land and don't ask me to Press a button for English.
