Does anyone else find it odd that her boyfriend continued on with his trip to Bermuda?

If you were outside on the deck...and your boyfriend went inside...say perhaps teasing you that he wouldn't let you back in...could he actually physically lock you out? If that was the case...could she have feared with the bad weather and rough conditions that she tried to get help and fell? Everyone is concentrating on the rail...but what about the access from the deck to the room?

This seems logical...it would explain why he was able to say they were playing...and how he was able to go to the next cabin...and how minutes later they would see her fall. What made the couple and the bf next door be aware of the fact she could fall...was it the bf looking over the deck aware she was trapped out on her deck probably becoming anxious. For if he was truely visiting them chance that they wouldn't have even known she fell until he returned to his own cabin...Knowing ahead of time..makes me think she was stuck out on the deck with him keeping eye from the adjoining room... I agree with the Mom..this story has yet to unfold the truth .

I think Mindy Jordan was locked out on the balcony. Do you think the inside camera shows anyone going back into the room? Maybe they tried to unlock the deck door so it wouldn't look like attempt on their part??????????

I wonder if they have emergency contact alarms on the balcony???? If not maybe they can install them in Mindy Jordan's Memory!!!!!!!

My husband and I were on the Dawn and were truly horrified when the captain came on and announced that there was a person overboard.
The weather turned very bad, very quickly after we left the NY harbor and it was so cold, windy and generally nasty that we didn't even go out on our balconey. I do not believe that she was climbing around. The waters were very rough and the balconey rail was wet.
I hope the FBI will continue to investigate.
Most abusive guys just get worse as they get older, as evidenced by that Petersen guy in Chicago.
I my husband and I kept thinking about Mindy all week - about how she was probably getting ready for what should have been a fun time. I am so sorry for her family.

Sheila: We were on the Dawn and honestly, the weather was so bad that I don't think there was any way to get the guy off. The winds and waves were so bad that I don't think they could get him and the weather got even worse on Monday.(Many people were seasick - me included - and we'll know never again to book another cruise out of NY in May!) The captain announced the person overboard during our dinner and we were so bummed that we went back to our cabin which was just above Mindy's. The ship's lights were darkened on the side so that the search lights could "sweep" the water. It was frightening just looking at the ocean. The winds were nearly gale force and the waves were slamming against the boat very badly. I think the poster who said possibly she was locked out might have had a very valid point. No one would have been outside that night otherwise.

She could definitely have been locked out on the balcony. The balcony doors locked from the inside of the cabin. My husband and I were on the cruise and had a room with a balcony.

We're scheduled to be on deck nine of the Norwegian Dawn on June 15th. Does anyone who was on the May 11th cruise know which room Mindy Jordan was in?

It was still taped off as a Crime Investigation Scene when we got off on Sunday. I hope you and your wife will have a nice cruise. Bermuda is absolutely lovely.

I was on the Norwegian Gem going out of NY on March 8th during a Noreaster. The weather was terrible and the winds were so severe they blew my husband's eyeglasse's right off his face into the ocean. When we returned to our room that evening the doors to our balcony had slammed shut and locked without any notice. Now I wonder, did this happen to Mindy Jordan and she panicked while out on the balcony?

Kathy,
I have known Mindy for several yrs. She would not have "panicked". She was a nurse, and very accute to emergency situations. What she also was during her "down" time, was a drinker and party'er. She lived on the edge, very much so, this time, she fell off. She is very much loved and missed.
