FDIC Shut Down Means End Of Historic North City Bank - KTVI

This is history, I am going to hate to see this bank go.

It is a shame that this is happening. My grandfather who is no longer with us banked there for the reason at that time before and after I was born banks would not want to have black customers and he got his home loan from that bank. I wish that it would be considered an historical Icon to preserve its name and place in the African American culture. I was once told never forget where you have come from for when you do one will be lost.

I have lived in North Saint Louis near Natural Bridge and Kingshighway all my life, with the exception of going off to college and serving in the U.S military and I am 43 years old.
