Gov Lingle gotta do what she gotta do. The financial mess were created with the Democratic Legislature giving her limited funds to work with. Now the Democrats are demanding for her to work out the problems... what nerve! She has other agenda that will help the State. Stop picking on her already... it's getting stale.

Too bad our paradise state has been leaning too far and too long to the left. Catering to peoples emotions rather than take the bull by the horns. Keep the poor on welfare as long as they get the votes.

Yea! keep crossing your fingers for stimulus (porkulus) checks on the mail... hahaha lol What a sorry okole for a president and his disciples in the land of alohas!!! LOL

SORRY FOLKS, SINCE THE HEALTH CARE REFORM THREAD WON'T ACCEPT MY COMMENTS, I HAD TO POST THEM HERE.

This is a statement made by the majority leader of the senate in early November:

"Apart from my decision to include a public option from which states may opt out, no final decisions have been made -- and none can be made until we get more information about how CBO would score different combinations."

This is all in quotes from Harry Reid's response letter. "No final decisions have been made. There is no bill to release publicly. It does not exist."

There is no bill in the Senate, the Baucus bill was not a bill. It was a draft and it had phony numbers in it. It got scored by the CBO a certain way, didn't have the public option. That's how Olympia Snowe was brought on board, Dingy Harry getting heat from the left: we're going to have a public option with a state opt-out. I think we're being hosed. I don't think they're anywhere near where they want to be on this, but they want us to think it's imminent.

As I understand it, the House bill will then be merged to the Senate's bill for final language and approval.

However, as reported: "Yesterday Senator Reid's office reported that the Majority Leader and the Connecticut Senator reached a secret deal where the Senator will not vote for a filibuster but will continue to vote against the bill in the final roll call: But sources said Reid’s staff is telling liberal interest groups that Lieberman (Conn.) has assured Reid he will vote with Democrats in the necessary procedural vote to end debate, perhaps with intentions to change the bill.

Lieberman spokesman Marshall Wittmann vehemently denied reports of a clandestine understanding between the two lawmakers, telling Fox News,'If you believe this story is true, you will also believe that I am replacing A-Rod in game six of the series.'" So Harry Reid is just lying about it.

Bottom line here folks, this House bill may sound inviting to American Samoa, but in reality, it's another smoke screen by Liberal Democrats for bigger government, and to be in total control of our FREEDOM.

I fully support a Health Care Reform Bill, but not to include a public option, funding for abortions, funding for illegal immigrants, manager’s amendment for new provisions targeted to specific members of Congress in order to get their support on behalf of some special interest group, and what ever pork that's gonna be added on the 11th hour without approval.

For example: Pelosi Bill Slips in $6 Billion Slush Fund and finally, the Secretary will be required to tell the respective committees of Congress which facilities received the money, but is not obligated to tell anyone else.

After all said and done, wheeling and dealing goes on and on. Depending on how high the representative sits on the totem pole, is how much his/her state benefits.

JUST AMAZING!!!

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Capricorn

You're feeling edgy as Mars moves into reverse, and it won't be long before people start to get on your nerves. You might get very irritated by someone's funny little habits, yet feel you daren't say anything in case you go overboard. Or you could get very annoyed when someone blurts out something that was supposed to be a secret but which quickly becomes common knowledge.
