Corzine losing NJ is very amazing considering Corzine changed the law last summer where a person can go into the voting office and pick up 10 ballots, then take them home, work, streets, who knows, and take them back all filled in. No checks and balances here at all. Just deck stacking.
This is how desperate this party has become to control the masses.
I am very grateful this multi millionaire from Wall Street, a Goldman Sacks man, hit the dust. I don't care which party he was running on.
I think the American people have spoken.

Thomas Stuart hits the nail right on the head in what amounts to deception by the HSTA and its now discredited vice-president, Karolyn "Another Sellout" Mossman.

Shame on you Karolyn Mossman.

Instead of her students kindly giving her a nice shiney apple to gain her approval, the idea should be floated that rotten apples and tomatoes aimed right at her throughout the school day, should be seriously considered.

HSTA, what does that acronym mean?

Hoser Shibai Tunnelvision Assines.

Cheating the future of Hawaii's leaders of their education is unbelievable.

But for the HSTA and folks like Mossman to participate in such fraud is even more unbelievable.

Topped only by Mossman herself trying to pass herself off as just another teacher, when, in fact, in her letter was expressing the callous position of her Union that is NOW ripping off the future of Hawaii.

Urinalysis for ALL teachers. Start with Mossman first.

Teachers, if you allow HSTA to continue to make like this, and you keep Mossman around, YOU deserve more than disrespect.

Quit.

Responding to: "Thus it is my strong belief that we need to do something now. Hawaii County's existing roads and parks are in an embarrassing state of disrepair....The permitting process for these projects should also be streamlined so the work can start faster. These improvements should not cause any environmental damage, unlike building a new road or a school."

Streamline the environmental review process, I don't think so. Who are we to conclude without a thorough review and blessing of one of the mainland environmental orgs, and one or more Hawaiian nations, that environmental or cultural impact to the aina would not occur? After the heat the state took on for streamlining the Superferry project, those NIMBY environmentalists would cry foul and lock up the project for years! Dream on.

Everyone should get off of Lingle's back! She's doing a great job running the state. Look at what she has to work with. She's doing an amazing job. Everyone need to look past their hatred of her and look at her body of work. That's the problem. Too many Lingle haters.

Note to Robert Conlan: You seem to forget that the Democrats have a veto-proof majority in the Legislature. If they wanted to do something different about the budget - such as raise the GET - then there's nothing Governor Lingle can do to stop them. But the Democrats would rather sit back, do nothing and force Lingle to make the difficult and unpopular decisions so they can paint her as the villain. Democrats care only about political gamesmanship, not about Hawaii's children or anyone else. If they truly wanted to save schools they would go back into special session and actually do something.

Note to Ray Jeffs: The 5 billion you are talking about is not meant to buy us a functioning rail system. It is meant to buy Mayor Mufi the governor's office by making his important campaign supporters in the construction industry filthy rich at the expense of the rest of us. Again, politicians - who are almost all Democrats in this state - are motivated by political gamesmanship, not by any desire to do what's right for the taxpayers and citizens of Hawaii.

This coming from the likes that endorse the trickle-down culture!

How has that "shock & awe" working out? Were any objective met?

How are dying American being justified by those who ordered an invasion under false pretenses?

Was bin Laden brought ever caught? I can still here the words of promise to bring those "RESPONSIBLE" to justice.

Those that scream where's the change live in a myopic world.

Robert J. Conlan of Wahiawa hasn't got a clue about the furlough problem, incorrectly blaming the Gov for it. How many times have Perry and Price proven it was not the Gov, it was a decision made by all the Union bosses, BOE/DOE, all of them would not come together and work a decision to benefit our Keiki. Robert, you need to get out of the house more often to see what is going on in the little third world of Hawaii Nei. PS: Did the Mufster or the Union Bosses tell you to write your letter?

Its good to finally see that the citizens of Hawaii finally see how our government 'leaders' are gutting the future of our state by not investing in education. In the end it looks like the UH Faculty are the only folks who stood their ground and are protecting education in Hawaii. If you support the K-12 teachers, you need to support higher education in Hawaii too.

Sorry but those boys and girls in that big square building downtown no longer have their printing press (the taxpayers) where they used to make money magically appear. Lingle doesn't have one either so suck it up everyone. All must do their part to get over this huge economic problem. We will if we ALL do our part. That includes DOE and UH.

Perry & Price!! You've got to be kidding. That's like saying 'I read it on the internet' or 'People magazine says...' Eh brah, P&P are ENTERTAINERS not investigative reporters. Just give 'em a laugh during drive time. Nothing more serious.

Yes, Joe, and that's just a warning shot for what's coming next November. The pendulum of politics is swinging back to the right, and thanks to the "left of center" agenda of this Administation and Democratically-controlled Congress, it's swinging back fast and furious.

Eh brah, you need to wise up. P&P always tell you to check it out yourself, giving you the reference where to find the info. They also have the Gov, union reps and other people involved call in to answer questions, getting first hand information to the viewers. You are forgiven for not knowing what is going on in the little third world of Hawaii Nei.

Sorry fool. There are still tens of millions of Americans(not Republicans)who were(and still are) nauseated by the reign of error led by the cretin from Maine and his vile VP. Anyone even slightly associated with that pile of dung is still on the losing side in this country and will be next November if they mention allegiance to that bad joke.

p.s. Maybe you should come into the real world(not FauxNews)No matter how loudly that fat turd Limbaugh rants about how bad Obama's administration is, it is still thousands of times better than Chimpy's ever could be.

Obama owns the war now. How's his promise to bring the boys home working out for ya?

Nope Bin Laden has not been caught. Old Willie was alseep at the helm, or at least Monica was when we had our best shot at killing the guy.

I'm still waiting hear how your desired version of economics will motivate anyone to continue to work. I know, I know, tax the rich. News flash for ya, the "rich", and a good number of middle class people are fed up with having your kind redistribute the fruits of their labor and are leaving. New York is a great example, now that they have increased their taxes again, people are leaving the city in droves.(WSJ last week). The only myopic view here is your disdain for anyone that strives to achieve success.

Ah yes, the battle cry of a liberal. Not a fact in your missive, or a debate of the facts laid down by others. Just name calling and vitriol. Like swomeone shooting pool with a rope you are clearly frustrated with your inability to influence the action.

Hang in there, yesterdays election results are a sign that your pain is coming to an end.

I'll grant you that we know for sure Obama's administration is trillions of times more costly.
