Reasons to Support Senator Barack Obama

Below is my "Why I Support Barack Obama" which explains some of the reasons I know Senator Barack Obama will make a good President of the United States of America.

Senator Barack Obama is able to see the best from both sides of issues and explain the pros and cons to us. He is gifted in analysis and able to clearly define the nature of the problem as well as options for resolution. His candor, his self-control and grace under pressure, his ability to listen, his quiet but commanding presence that is respected by all of the other presidential candidates--these are a few of his character qualities that indicate he is the "man of the hour" for our next President of the United States of America.

We will be enduring tough times as a nation and the situation requires a President with considerable diplomatic experience in his manner of speech with people from all walks of life as well as a practical understanding of the daily struggles and joys in America at all economic levels.

I have questions, like the effect of his capital gains' tax plan that was discussed on George Stephanopolous' "Round Table" on 4-20-08 but I am hoping that Senator Obama is open to tweaking any of his plans if additional facts or perspectives are laid on the table. He seems to be a man who would be open to changing his view in the face of evidence. Situations turn upside down overnight in the world now, so we need a president who can gather all of the facts, assess them wisely, then reassess them later and make modifications if a Plan B, C or D becomes necessary.

I respect Senator Obama's ability to address things directly, thoughtfully and tactfully with no arrogance, no drama, no ego, no haughtiness, no ignorance, no lying and with no dysfunctional pride nor conceitedness that is blind to the truth. He rises above everyone in heated discussions which is evidence of superb training and discipline in his life. He is a peacemaker in his own right...able to get everyone to focus on the bottom line and build from there. He is going to make a good president who will go the extra mile to protect us, to help us in rescue and recovery. He will have to make choices between the "lesser of two evils" in many situations...anyone who wants to understand that bigger picture should research the statistics on http://www.economyincrisis.org

Remember...he will not be able to tell us everything about what is happening. National security and our very lives will be at stake. Encourage him to stand strong against wrong compromises and provide the facts quickly to him--he will be pressured unlike any other president in history.

We have tried for decades to say the right things, do the right things and we've heard nothing but trash! "The whites been holding them down, 400 years of oppression, blah blah blah!!!
I for one am tired of it!! What else can we do? They were never slaves and I never owned slaves!! We do not need to be held responsible for the actions of generations past!! We better not say the "N Word" / but they can "Cracker", "Whitey", and "Honky" us all day long.....and we are said to be the ones who hate!! Blacks hate as much if not more than whites!!
I don't want to see and hear Al Sharpton, Lewis Farrakon, and Kanye West beside Obama spewing crap and getting everyone worked up into a "hurt whites" frenzy!!
They had to let O.J. Simpson off even though everyone knew he was guilty as sin and the fact that he all but confessed by word and action from the beginning. If they had not let him go, there would have been a race war in the streets all over America!!
Also, the police should never have beaten Rodney King.........that was horrible!! AND the blacks in the streets should not have taken it out on Reginald Denny.......that was also very horrible!!
Do you see what I mean? This country is not prepared for a black president!! For that matter, they are not ready for a woman either!!

In this country I cannot understand the depth of prejudice, even after all the crap we went through in the 60's. I would rather have Obama/Clinton in office that any of the war mongering Republicans from the Oil Baron state of Texas any day. If we keep Republicans in office another four to eight years you can bet the US Dollar will be so worthless we'll be using it for toilet paper. I wouldn't buy a used car from McCain, he just looks too slick, greasy and untrustworthy. He'll smile the whole while he's selling out our country. How many more jobs do you want to see sent overseas? Isn't it bad enough that most customer service now is answered by operators in India who barely understand English? If you vote Republican, get ready to buy a horse or bicycle,'cause you sure won't be able to afford to drive your car.

In Obama’s own words, he writes in his book,“I pick my friends carefully…political black people (I’m not being prejudice, he is)…friends with Marxists ideology…Chicanos (illegal’s).” When people finally discover Obama wants to give 12 million illegal’s immediate amnesty and driver's licenses, full Social Security benefits and even Medicaid — they will vote against him. Remember Obama targets the less fortunate, corrupt politician, dysfunctional thinkers, illegals...this seems to be his plan.

So much for spreading the wealth...looks like OBAMA and his wife just want to spread everyone else’s wealth around, but not his own...

But there is one issue almost all Americans agree on: Illegal aliens should not be given driver's licenses.
Did you know that Mohamed Atta, the 9/11 ring leader, had a valid Florida driver's license?
Did you know 13 of the 19 hijackers had obtained valid driver's licenses? Armed with these licenses, eight of the hijackers even registered to vote!

Here is the shocking fact: Obama strongly supports giving illegal aliens in America driver's licenses.

He said as much during two Democratic debates earlier this year.

Even Hillary Clinton backed away from Obama's radical driver's license plan. She even states Obam is a talker and not a person of action.

We have no doubt that, as president, Obama will also champion this radical plan.

Obama is NOT anyone’s savior! We would be foolish and in DENIAL not to believe anything but the truth! Are we in denial because we are just looking for a savior? Our only Savior for salvation is Jesus Christ…pray for discernment with this election! Senator Obama’s ‘lack of discernment’ in choosing who he works with (ex. Bill Ayers) is definitely a concern! Although I do have to ask myself, shouldn’t a person who is as educated as he is know exactly what he is doing! A person would like to think that any person with the education background would have the ‘common sense’ to know, or would they have the ‘common sense’? What does Barack Obama really stand for — and will his extreme liberal agenda and complete inexperience in global affairs endanger the country? While Obama and Nancy Pelosi is advocating amnesty and opening the door to let illegal aliens into America for political advantage, our jobs are being lost and other’s identity is being stolen.

We all have to start somewhere. The senate is a good start, but after 143 days, that's all it is--a start.
