Can any of you folks in Kalispell give any of us here in Missoula any information on what actually happened to that sweet little boy????

Loic is our grandson.
Our family is totaly devistated.
My oldest daughter Airel is back in the hospital trying to keep this baby from comming early.

He DID NOT go missing from a relatives home.
He went missing, and was found at the home of my soon to be former son in laws girlfriends house!

I am so very sorry for your loss. I worry about Loic's siblings, too. I hope they will get the help they need to work through this tragic event. My heart aches for that dear little boy. My prayers are with you.

ok...there are so many different stories going on. who's house did he go missing from? the relatives? the friends? and is that the same house where he was found?

i'm watching this press conference and i'm still confused.

how could he have gotten the lid BACK on the septic tank? impossible.

That poor little darling angel. I can't shake the thought that this could happen to anyone. Loic is a spitting image of my son!! I am so so sorry for your loss! Some of my friends in the fire department have kept me updated, who would do something like that to a baby!
The press release said it wasn't a relatives house, and that it was "very unlikely" that he could have gotten down there and the lid closed on his own.

can somebody please give a summary of the news conference. I am on the other side of the mountains (Great Falls) and the info we are receiving is very limited.

The boy was found in a septic tank on the home on Maple Dr where the search began. The search party lifted the lid wednesday and looked in and probed but because of the ackward rectangular shape of the tank they did not see the body. When the search of the area had been done repeatedly it went from a search and rescue effort to a law enforcement search which was much more detailed. The tank was so full, within inches of the lid, and they had to drain the tank to find the body. An autopsy was done today and the immediate cause of death was drowning, but it is still under investigation. As before the sherif stated that it was "very (or highly) unlikely that the boy got in there and the lid closed on its own. It was an above ground cover on the septic and the lid was not very heavy. They would not comment of the parents or anything that had to do with the ongoing investigation. They said they had about 5 days of investigating before they bring information to the county attorney to let them decide if charges should be brought up. The child's mother I believe (could be wrong) is in the hospital because the trama could have negative effects on her unborn child.

Thank you for sharing with us "grandpa." You know, you will always be Loic's grandpa, and even though you can't see him, he is with you. He will always be with you.
I can't tell you how sad I am for your families loss. I can't imagine. My thoughts are with you, and prayers.

I'm not at liberty to discuss much of this situation, due to the ongoing investigation.

The oldest grandaughter Indica has told us a different story than what has been said by Mark.(the father)
To me, there is no way in hell that Loic could have gotten in there by himself, and then closed the lid. Besides the time line involved.....one to two minutes before the search began, and no small tracks.
We live in a different state, so we did not get to see the news conference either. The info we are getting is from the rest of the family, and what we can read on the internet.
Ariel, and Amber are our nieces, and daughters. We got gaudianship of them when they were eight, and five. We raised them! Loic was very much our grandson. So please don't think I'm just another crack pot.

also, thank you for clearing who's home Loic went missing from, we have had a few stories...now, we understand it was the girlfriend of Mark Rogers...correct?

my question is simple...Was the water in this poor little angels lungs the same water from the septic tank? i need to know that the autopsy will clarify this as it is most significant in determining accident or intent, on one hand.

if mark was at his girlfriends house, the child could have very well been playing outside for some time and there was a tragic accident and guilt covered it up by both responsible adults in that home.

and of course, it could be the unthinkable and it was not an accident, however, the daycare person seems to think the father was devoted to that child...was the girlfriend just as devoted?

i am not in any way pointing a finger at his girlfriend...be clear on that please...i have had first hand experience with jealous girlfriends of an X and what they are capeable of doing when jealousy rears its ugly head...not that my experience with this girlfriend of my X had any corralation to homicideal tendacies and i want that to be clear...but...in many cases we have all read about jealousy and homocide in the same sentence...i would think everyone should be investigated including the girlfriend and probably is...
conclusion...my heartfelt prayers to the family of Loic Rogers...May God cover them in the palm ofhis hand until they are more able to stand on their own...God be within you all...

from one of the news reports it states that the mother filed papers with the court stating she didn't want her children at the girlfriends house as it was unsafe for her children to be there...this paper was filed back in Nov!
Also, why was the United States Secret Service participating in the investigation?
