Finally a bill that makes sense. All these mainland states send their homeless here so that they don't have to pay for them. We're one of the smallest states and one of the MOST EXPENSIVE STATES! But the fact that Hawaii makes it so easy for other states to tell their homeless, if you go to Hawaii you can get on welfare within 2 hours after you land. So I hope Rida Cabanilla addresses that issue too. Don't make it so easy to get on welfare here. We have enough of our own local-born people who refuse to get off of welfare. For crying out loud we even have people who were Katrina survivors who were sent here. Send them back to let their own states to take care of them. As for all the nay sayers, BE QUIET. I'd rather my taxes be used to improve our schools.

THEN WILL APPRIATE THEIR FREE HAND ME OUTS . DONOT MISUSE THE BENIFITS , YES THE same for the goverment lBoth the Govner and mayer has , 1st the governer has when her life and husband corrupt waste of tax payers expense , how can they look at them self , Also the law abiding people not the Squtters nor free loaders in our society we the ones that get our permits , not every one is a bum , the corrupt is looked up wait a minute here ....

I grew up in Hawaii. I remember when a friend told me about other states giving their homeless population, free plane tickets to Hawaii.

Yes, Hawaii is a nice place for the imported homeless to live, but given the economy, it is difficult enough to provide for the Hawaii people who have become homeless. Our people should have the assistance from whatever resources are available. For the homeless who have been dumped on the already desperate economy, the one way ticket back home may be a win win situation for both the homeless, and the economy.

It may not be an expensive venture. Contracts with airlines, and contributions might assist.

Let's get rid of the 18,000 micros first. They go to the head of the line for all services.
Some church goes to micronesia and brings them here and signs them up for everything. Probably just to get their 10%.

Now since Hawaii has taken their junk, they are advertising pristine unspoiled beaches and water.
Enough. Cut out all the free stuff and watch the exodus.

The pain needs to be spread around. The compact should be changed to decree that each year a different state will have to take in these people. As it is now, they are a drain on only one state...ours. I don't recall any Hawaii residents on the Manhattan Project, which was the source of the compact.
All the states should share in the costs associated with letting these people into our country.

Your powers of concentration are finely honed today, enabling you to focus on something to the exclusion of all else. This is just what you need if you're hoping to make a big dent in your workload or you're doing something very fiddly or detailed. But it's important that you know when to stop, otherwise you might get really weary and lose your effectiveness.
