I never said Lincoln was equivalent to Malcolm. I said their ideas should be taught.
Just as people should be taught about Hamilton and Jefferson, though they were diametrically opposed on every issue.
Calling Malcolm a "hate monger" is a bit duplicitous given that he was speaking in a time when rampant white racism terrorism as well as intense institutional apartheid was practiced against blacks in the USA.
Do you get all livid and spew insults against people like Orville Faubus, George Wallace, Lester Maddox, etc., the Southern white racist leaders who tried to stop de-segregation? Were they "hate mongers"?
I totally agree with this post. He had reason to be militant in a time of oppression.

Oh yeah, I do seem to remember some historical footnote about the US getting involved at the very end and then going on and on and on about it ever since. Get it right fella, the US was largely pro Nazi - IBM made it's money from supplying hitler the machinery they needed to count and gas the jews for god sake. Do they teach you that in your american fantasy history classes? Do you know anything about your own nation? Thank god my US born daughter is in the UK getting a real education.
Last time I checked, IBM wasn't a nation, IBM wasn't a government. Do they teach your fetid spawn that IBM=US?

On behalf of the American people, please let me apologize for our participation in saving your limey asses in WWII.
Thanks for that. You arrived just in time for the party.

I don't think I suggested it was. Though in all fairness I did post in a bit of a knee jerk manner to your desperately old and inaccurate post about the US having saved our 'limey asses'. But this thread is about Malcolm X, who most of the rest of the world seem to think was a pretty intelligent and heroic figure; unlike a lot of white Americans it seems. Nevermind.

I thought we were supposed to edit history to make the whites look like the good guys? Let's pretend Malcolm X never existed.

There are recorded documents that stated that he was beginning to doubt the extremist monster view that he had developed. The assassination took place shortly thereafter.
Like any rational person, I hate his views, but I respect the fact that he was starting to rethink his position. Unfortunately his homeboys got to him before he had a chance to turn around.
I guess his doubt of his extremist views does not serve the militant black agenda. That's why they got rid of him.
the world is a better place without him, and his hateful rhetoric.

Yes, indeed, a better place without him.

And to think that there are circles out there who consider him a "historical figure".

What a joke!

he is a historical figure, like Hitler or Pol Pot, a man famous for his evil heart and hatred.

The white racist teaches hate & negativity towards the black people of 2 day, yesterday, & 2morrow. This snake is no good 2 the black society. White peoples teachings of the black codes, the willie lynch letter, & the slave fugitive laws shouldn't be taught in schools like they still are. Now the black peoples royal history should be taught everywhere. so teach on malcolm & let these pigs die a pig but stop the brainwashing. I would rather pay my tax dollars for that than 2 be paying you pigs 2 keep a person locked up.

You ought to re-invest your tax dollars into taking an English and grammar class so we can read what you're saying without getting a headache.

Daily Horoscope for June 17

Gemini

Should you follow the tried and tested route, or should you branch out on your own in some way? That's the question you're facing, Gem, and it looks as though you're going to have to bow to convention on this occasion. Even so, you'll have the chance to introduce a few of your own ideas, and also to consider your strategy for the future.
