If the state was a defendant and agreed to pay, then the public has a right to know how much the state is to pay. It is taxpayer money we are talking about.

I might add that they don't need to make public who received what, only how much the state is kicking in.

Cool your jets. The attorney general's office must ask the legislature for an appropriation and at that time, the amount will be public.

Mr. Pfluger has a great attorney on his side, Wm. McCorriston one who is not afraid to keep on going until the end. I wish all attorneys were this way.

"There were 16 attorneys in the courtroom yesterday..."

Glad I wasn't there. All of them yelling for their piece of the pie. And McCorriston trying to convince us that Pfleuger is a concerned citizen is laughable! I hope the state is allowed to remind the jury of his previous conviction for his "community conscience!" Put him away. Both McC and JP are blowhards that deserve to be brought down.
Teri Tico was cute when she was younger. I guess years of being a shyster have taken their toll on her. She looks rode hard and put away wet.

Ambulance chasers? You cannot be that stupid, people were killed in this event. If it was your loved one I bet you would have a different persoective on the role of these attorneys in the case.

The fairest settlement would be one that ends with Pfleuger in Halawa.

Not stupid at all. Accurate. These are professional sharks. There for the money. They went after the money. The deep pockets. Starting with the state, the county, the big corporation, the rich guy.

As for if it was my loved ones, I would blame myself for building the house where it wasn't supposed to be, blame myself for lying about the whereabouts to the county, and blame myself for putting them in there after all the rain.

Surprising that everyone is assuming and presuming, presenting their so called views.

Sad to say but never assume or presume an outcome in any legal proceeding. That should be the first thing all attorneys tell their would be clients.

Kinda scary to see folks offering their opinion when they weren't even in the courtroom. Scary.

Remember folks, precious, precious lives were lost in this case and no amount of money can bring anyone back. Never judge unless you can offer yourself for judgment.

McCorriston is a brillant attorney, well versed in the law and a great trial lawyer.

He is also one who never gives up, a trait lacking in some attorneys who go for the money and plea your case.

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Cancer

Discussions and meetings go really well today because you're finding it easy to put your thoughts into words. You'll also show that you respect other people's viewpoints even if they don't coincide with your own. It's a good day for making domestic plans, and some of these will be quite ambitious without being unrealistic or far-fetched.
