Where there is smoke, there is usually a fire…...the three page article I read seems to be very detailed oriented with pictures, names and dates.

The mark of a good "story." The guy wouldn't be "putting himself out there" if there were much truthg to it. He's obviously been in Hawaii a long time.....got "Letters To The Editor" in the Advertiser and Star Bulletin dating back for years.......

Tourists are looking for an alternative to the horror cement blocks in Waikiki. I cannot blame them.

Our property taxes are some of the highest in the country, and now the Council wants to send property values down with a free for all B&B policy? Those things are impossible to police. We're glad our townhouse complex doesn't allow either vacation rentals and B&B's. My parents live down the street from such a place. The landlord's family parks all their vehicles on the street, a big inconvenience for other visitors. The number of house and vehicle break-ins has been rising. It isn't necessarily the guests who are criminal -- it's just harder and harder to tell which strangers are safe and which are casing the area.
I'm guessing you're talking about the taxes in Dallas(?) The property taxes in Hawaii are some of the LOWEST in the country. And most B&B's & TVU's have off-street parking as opposed to places like the apartment complex on the corner of Haiku Road & the Kahekili Hwy. in Kaneohe that blocks an entire lane of Haiku Roadf every night because the Developers were apparently allowed to build the complex with very little resident parking..........

the b&b,s have been illegal for twenty years and yet they exist . I read on the city site that the fine could be a thousand a day. yet they operate them. disobey other laws and there are consequences . I guess such is not the case with the b&b,s.

Either you don't know Texas law or perhaps you're Alan Wehmer masquerading as "Robin", because names ARE removed from the sexual offender data base all the time. See Texas Penal Code Article 62.101 as follows;

"(c) Except as provided by Subchapter I, THE DUTY TO REGISTER for a person with a reportable conviction or adjudication for an offense other than an offense described by Subsection (a) ENDS:

(1) if the person's duty to register is based on an adjudication of delinquent conduct, on the 10th anniversary of the date on which the disposition is made or the person completes the terms of the disposition, whichever date is later; or

(2) IF THE PERSON'S DUTY TO REGISTER IS BASED on a conviction or ON AN ORDER OF DEFERRED ADJUDICATION, ON THE 10th ANNIVERSARY of the date on which the court dismisses the criminal proceedings against the person and discharges the person, the person is released from a penal institution, or the person discharges community supervision, whichever date is later"

It also helps if a sex offender finds a rich, older, influential woman who hires prominent attorneys to get him an early release from community supervision.

Ps. I can post/send a copy of his sex offender registration to anyone wishing to dispute his past sex offender registration history.

Pss. It's curious that Alan Wehmer has managed to move to a state that has one of the lowest ages of consent in America.

The B&B's are owned and run by rich people like Harry da self-proclaimed millionaire. There will be no enforcement of any laws. Period. End of story.
